Hi!
We are planning to move to Clermont (or thereabouts) by next May. I wondered if anyone had any first-hand insight into that community?
I've gotten the relocation packets, did all the research I could, subscribed to the local paper there (which covers Clermont/Tavares/Eustis/Leesburg and Mount Dora) so I think I've covered those basics. But nothing speaks about a town like residents or frequent visitors, right?
We do plan to rent at first just to be sure that we are happy with the area. I've been in touch with a real estate agent who sends me open rental listings quite often. I try to map them out but I really don't know what areas to avoid.
Any suggestions on where to move within Clermont? (or where to avoid?) Or for any town in that general vicinity? (meaning...close-ish to Disney!) We homeschool, so the whole school thing isn't an issue.
Thanks in advance for any suggestions/tips.
ETA: I forgot to mention, I work from home (for myself), so I am secure in my job, don't have to get a new one there.
