Moving in 6 days?

Any tips on how to pack quick? Im trying to pack a kitchen, bedroom, livingroom and garage. AHHHHH

Enlist help of friends and family.

When we moved last year, I had most of the non-essentials packed and ready to go. The kitchen and bath were among the last to be boxed. Had it not been for my cousin's wife it would not have been done in such short time.
I had to leave for about an hour to take DD to work and stop at the grocery store for beverages and doughnuts and she practically had both rooms done by the time I returned.

No time to sort. Just pack it or pitch it if you can make a quick decision on an item. No time to find new homes for items either. At most, put junk by the road with free sign. If it still remains after a few days, trash it.

Just wanted to say Good Luck. We are moving right now too. We are also leaving for WDW in a week from today. We have to be moved in our house before we leave. Talk about stress!

I am just doing what another poster said, taking or tossing. Our house is all ready to go so, I am literally taking things from the rental to our house and putting it right away.

Use your bathroom and kitchen towels to wrap your dishes...then put them into laundry baskets. It makes for quick packing and unpacking. Just make sure you transport the laundry baskets full of dishes in your car - don't put them on the moving van.

Best advise I can give is use a black felt tip marker and label the contents of each box. We did that and still have some unpacked boxes because we know what is inside. Years back we had moved to another city and I had a box labelled software. A year later I opened up the box and found out it contained empty software boxes I had moved for no reason. Into the big recycle bin that went. We moved a year later and had more kitchen space. We opened a box we had labelled kitchen only to find it contained the glass plate of a microwave that we had tossed out 2 years prior! Then it hit us, we needed to put a bit more detail on the box!
Have fn. I hate moving and we are doing it again soon ugh.
