Moving in 6/13 and wanting to take Summer 2 Term classes?

Hi everyone (especially fellow fall advantage cast members!)

I just wanted to share some information with everyone that I found out today when I called the Disney education office. I noticed on their website that they offer classes in Summer 2 Term, and it spans from June 13th to September 2nd. Personally, I would prefer to take classes then and get them over with so that I can just focus on working shifts in the fall. I figure this is an advantage of being in the Fall Advantage. :thumbsup2

Anyway, main point. I didn't know if I was eligible to take classes then because my move-in date is June 13th. So I'm thinking to myself, my classes may start that day and I couldn't be there. When I called and asked, I was told to go ahead and register for the courses if I wanted them and if I had to miss my first class because of move-in, she said I would not be penalized for it.

I don't know how many of you were thinking of taking summer classes and who's move in date is 6/13 (I imagine it may be a small number!) but I know it would have really helped me out to be able to read this info on the DIS so I wanted to share what I found out with you!

Thank you for posting this! I was wondering that exact thing but I planned on waiting until my school told me the credits would transfer for the classes before calling the education department. But yeah, I'm coming that day and planning on taking classes. Do you know if we can also sign up for two classes in the fall if we do them in the summer term as well?

I'm not sure, but I imagine so. I mean I know per term Disney allows a maximum of taking 2 classes, but Summer 2 Term is separate from the fall classes, so I would think so. If you want to know for sure, I'd say ask!

I also thank you for posting this DisneyGirlie! I would have been wondering just this when I finally get to talking about classes lol.

And beautybutafunnygirl, I believe that is right. So you can take four classes on an advantage program, but don't hold me to that, I could be wrong.

That's what I'm hoping! I think you're right too, but I'll definitely call after my school approves the credits to make sure.
