Moving guests between rooms and combining for dinner

Hi everyone. Two quick questions....

1. My wife and I each made a reservation for connecting rooms. In one room it's me and my son (17). In the other room it's my wife, my daughter (now 18) and her best friend (18). We are wondering if we can swap my son and my daughter so my wife has key card access to our room. Or can we get an extra key card or add access to our cards for the 'kids' room?

2. How do we combine the reservations so we can check in together and hopefully have one table for dinner (the five of us).

I know the phone lines are nuts, I'm hoping there's a 'chat' or email or something we can do.

Thanks!

You can just have them print blank keycards as @FightingIrishman said, but we actually had them re-done at check-in so our cards completely matched (there were 12 of us and it was complicated).

I had a similar situation in February. My father and I were in one room and my mother and wife were in the other. We did that because the placeholders were under my name and my wife's name and we wanted the 10% discount on both rooms.

1. You'll go through Covid testing and check-in with your original reservations.

2. After you get through testing, security, and check-in, you can go to the check-in manager (the one who usually does room upgrades) and ask to have people moved around so that everyone is in the right room. When I did this, it took about 10 minutes. She was able to print us new keys right there so we actually had our keys before boarding, just like in the before times.

3. You'll use your new room assignments to log into the DCL app.

4. The checklists for the muster stations are already printed by this time. So, you'll be expected at your original stations. If both rooms have the same station, then no worries. Otherwise, just have everyone go to both so that you can be checked on the lists and also clear the messages from your apps by taking the right photos.

5. Your stateroom host can take care of the old keys that are in the fishes outside your rooms.

6. If you're getting any gifts for Castaway Club status, then they'll be delivered according to the original reservations. Your stateroom host can fix most problems here. If you need more of something (e.g. sling bags, lanyards), then you'll have to get guest services involved.

7. Speaking of guest services, they can also print you new keys if the check-in manager wasn't able to or for some reason just didn't.

Everything else should just work. You shouldn't have any trouble with reservations, charging, and so on. Make sure that you link your reservations online if you want to dine together.
