Moving from Pop to Poly

We're staying one night at Pop Century and then moving to Poly for a 6 night stay. Since we plan to go to MK the next day, is the best way to move resorts, to check out really early from Pop, grab a cab with our luggage to Poly and check in and have bell services hold our luggage? Will it make any difference with the check-in at Poly if we're staying on a DVC reservation (rented from a DVC member)?

Check-in will be same as ever.

You can do several things to transfer:

1. Give your luggage to Pop, and have them transfer. You won't see your luggage most of the day. Hop on a bus from Pop to a park. Park until afternoon and you get a room ready text. Transfer from park to Poly.

2. Your cab approach. Early in the day your room won't be ready 9 times out of 10, and your bags will be at Bell Services. Go to a park from Poly until you get a room ready text. Return to Poly from park.

3. Your cab approach, only plan to spend the day without a room, and hang at the Poly pool (Oasis opens earlier than Lava). Be prepared to not have a room until after 4, however.

In general 1 works just fine and saves time and effort if you're otherwise planning to go to a park that day.

I would definitely recommend just calling luggage services at Pop the morning you are going to check out. Give them all of your bags and tell them you are transferring to Poly. They will send your bags over. Then, after you hand of your bags, head to Magic Kingdom. When you leave the park, go to Poly. If you do online check in, you can head straight to your room. If your bags aren't already in your room, call luggage services and they should bring them right up.

Just to clarify- Bell Services does not deliver luggage to empty rooms-only ME does. Once you are in your Villa call and Bell Services will deliver your luggage.

That's what I thought, but when we switched to Boardwalk Villas from ASMO last month, luggage services at AS told us or bags would be waiting for us in our room... not that they were, but we dud head back to BWV before or room was ready. You very much could be right bcause that's what I thought. Just saying what luggage services told us.
