We have a 10 night stay on points in Oct, the 1st 6 at BCV and the next 4 at SSR. Is there a way to have our luggage moved by Disney or DVC while we are out at the parks ?? We would be willing to pay for this service but not sure if it's available.

We don't plan to rent a car. Does anyone know how easy this is to do ?

Disney will move all of the bags for freee. Just remember to have money for tips.

Call the bellman and tell them you are checking into SSR. So far it's worked great; the bags were with the new bellman's desk when I checked in. I've read that you can call the front desk after checkin time to find out your room number and then call the bellmen to have the bags delivered to your room before you get there (although, it would be decent to figure out how to tip the folks for doing that--maybe ask that they leave the name of the bellmen with the luggage so you can tip them later).

We have done the luggage switch several time and it has always worked out great! Over T-day week we did a BWV to SSR switch. Worked out great! They even keep food and drinks in their big fridge!

We have changed resorts on two separate trips. 1) POFQ -> VWL, 2) AKL -> BCV
Used Bell Services both times. We were not impressed either time (and we did tip well). Luggage transfer by Bell Services is supposed to happen about 3pm. It ended up taking 12 long hours to receive our luggage both times (handed bags over to Bell Services before 9am, got it between 9 and 9:30pm at the new villa at the next resort). It really bothered me that I could not get any helpful info from anyone as to the reason for the delays either time.
My suggestion is to call a taxi. If you move the luggage yourself you will know where your luggage is at all times, and you will have access to it even if your villa at SSR isn't ready when you arrive. (Bell Services at SSR can store it for you.) I'm not sure exactly what the taxi would cost, but I would imagine it would be less than $20.
Certainly *many* others have used Bell Services and had no problems. My point is that when the service doesn't work well, it is very frustrating. We ended up feeling like we wasted valuable vacation time doing those moves, and do not plan to change resorts on future stays as a result.
Hopefully your experience will be significantly better than ours :wizard:
