Moving from 2BR to studio mid trip ...

We will be at BCV in June in a 2BR for 5 nights then 2 studios for 4 nights (obviously we're conserving points ! ). If I ask that the 2BR be a lockout, what do you think the chances are that I will be able to keep the studio portion for the following 4 nites? This would certainly be soooo much easier as we would not have to move our stuff out when downsizing. Anyone have any experience doing this ?

Also had another question regarding the 2 studios for our family ... if I ask that the studios be as close to each other as possible, could they possibly be right next to each other ? Never tried this before ...

The chances are very good that you will be able to occupy the studio portion of the two-bedroom unit. You'll need to request a two bedroom lockoff when you make your reservation. Don't wait until you arrive!

If you already have your reservation, be sure it states lockoff. If it doesn't, call MS. If they have you in a dedicated two-bedroom, they will have to cancel your reservation and rebook a lockoff if it's available.

Be sure the reservaiton for the studio is linked to the two-bedroom reservation.

Thanks for the reply, Lew. It sounds encouraging! I will definately make sure we request a 2BR lockoff and explain why.

Anyone know if studios are ever located right next door to one another at BCV ?

There are about 14 different spots at BCV that have a dedicated studio right next to a 2 bedroom lock-off studio. They would not have a door connecting the studios, but they would be right next to each other.

Check out Melk's posts today about switching from a bigger to a smaller room mid-trip. Seriously, if you're trying to conserve points, think about starting in the studio and then moving up to the bigger room.
