Moving, and Jobs?!?!

Hello all,

Got a quick question if anyone happens to know.

I was recently laid off from work in June of this year, after looking for a bit, and a couple of interviews here in the Boston area. I have decided to try my luck in the Orlando area (imagine that).

Now taking into account the economy I can understand that a LOT of companies want local canadates only.


Anyone know of any good recruiters in the area i might be able to call and talk to? or any tips whats so ever?

PS, the 2 main areas I am looking at are orlando and Tampa.

When DH was recently looking he used the www.careerbuilder.com web site and had great luck finding companies that were good to work for with good jobs available.

DH found his job on ww.hotjobs.com We also used www.monter.com alot. What type of work are you looking for? You might want to check out the Disney sight also, there are lots of postings but they require alot of experience. http://jobsearch.disneycareers.newjobs.com/

I also checked out the disney site. they had one job I applied to that I as qualified for. havent heard back. (probably swamped with resume's) =)

According to your profile you an IT professional, try researching some companies in the Orlando area and find out if they have a website, alot of companies post job openings. Then you can apply to the company directly.
