What are some of your favorite movies?

Lately Ive been watching a lot of movies since I have nothing else to do, and I want to know if you have any movie suggestions.

So far Ive rented :

Alice in wonderland (the one with whoopie)- Sucked
Juno- Amazing
Bee Movie - Loved it
27 dresses- Cute...I guess

Anyway it doesnt matter how old the movie is, just one that I could possibly find at blockbuster. Amazingly enough blockbuster doesnt carry Alice in wonderland.

So any suggestions?
Sorry I keep spamming the board with my threads :o

Well, my favorite movies are: RENT, The Notebook, Juno, and The Outsiders.

Road to El Dorado.
National Treasure.
A goofy movie.
Chicken run (haha)

here is a list of my favourite movies.
all of which i highly recommend, some of which are quite obscure and you may have never heard of, but if you're looking to rent an awesomemovie on night, here are some awesome ones;

Titanic--total heartbreaker, and very unlike the rest of my fave movies because it's a 'blockbuster' type of movie, but i love it to death nonetheless, i've seen it 100+ times, and i STILL cry EVERY time.

The Darjeeling Limited--if you've seen/liked The Royal Tennenbaums or THe Life Aquatic, you'll love this one. It's totally bizarre & out there but it's such a cool, original story

Big Fish--the only Tim BUrton movie that I will watch. Very whimsical and inspiring. Got a really cool theme & message.

Bobby--allstar cast, about the assassination of Bobby Kennedy and how it affected those who were there when it happened. Really cool, very sad.

The Departed--greatest gangster-action-dramedy of all.

American Pscyho--not for the faint of heart. very vulgar, highly disturbing, but one of the most hilarious & quoatable movies ever.

Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind--one of the coolest movies i've EVER seen in my life, and amazing and totally original take on a love story.

Alpha Dog--really sad. emile hirsch and justin timberlake are in it...that's really the only reason i like it...and it's got a great soundtrack

Blood Diamond--very sad and dramatic, but has a message that inspires change. leondaro dicaprio does an amazzzzing south african accent.

forgetting sarah marshall--hilarious. rated R though, so...proceed with caution.

Lars and the Real Girl--again, another reeally freaky-weird one. heartbreaking, but at the same time really cute.

The Virgin Suicides---this is where i become a huge film nerd...i actually really appreciate the cinematography in this movie.
i'm a total nerdface i know. but it's gorgeous.
SHELBY: if you read this i think you'd really like & appreciate this movie...dunno why, just strikes me as the type you'd like. it's just really...beautiful but totally sad at the same time.

i'm missing a bunch.

but seriously i reeeaallly recommend ALL of these movies!!!! they are really good and totally worth your time! if you like movies that is, and are willing to give 'different' a chance :thumbsup2

Well, I'm always going to state that Wet Hot American Summer is crazy hilarious, and deserves to be known by all.

Rushmore is a fabulously classic movie that everyone should see. It's Jason Schwartzman's first movie, and many of today's movie themes come from Rushmore. Also a couple of popular songs are named after lines in the movie "Sic Transit Glora...Glory Fades" by Brand New and "Tell That Mick He Just Made My List Of Things To Do Today" by Fall Out Boy. It also has Bill Murray who is just hilarious.

Serenity is pretty amazing, but even more amazing if you watch the show Firefly before you watch the movie. You will never regret it.
