Movies to watch before DLR trip

We have movie night once a week and in preparation for our DLR trip I'd like our family to watch Disney movies we'll recognize at DLR.

I'm aware of the obvious Fantasyland ones like Dumbo, Peter Pan, and Snow White; I've been searching through their website.

Is there anything I'm missing? What is your family's favorites?

I love watching Finding Nemo and Toy Story before my Disneyland Resort trips. I like to watch Aladdin and The Little Mermaid which makes Disney California Adventure a better experience. I also show my family Pirates of the Caribbean if we have time.

Tarzan is a great movie to watch too! I keep seeing many people pass by Tarzan's Treehouse in Adventureland. I love that attraction.

If you're going during the Christmas holiday season, I suggest watching the Nightmare Before Christmas. I think it makes riding Haunted Mansion Holiday much more fun!

We've been watching Monsters Inc, Tangled, Toy Story, Tink movies, and Finding Nemo (I watched Aladdin and Tangled the other evening, but I was home alone, LOL). Mostly because they have been on and we Tivo'd them. Also have Snow White, but the kids have no interest in it and found the ride scary in May so we'll skip it this time, I think. There's a Muppet Christmas Movie on-demand right now (along with Toy Story and Tangled) that my kids watched several times, as well as several holiday specials (Beauty and the Beast has one, as well as Disney's version of Scrooge).

How old are your kids? My younger kids (3 and 8) also watch Mickey Mouse Clubhouse in the morning sometimes (my 18 year old has been known to watch too), to get to know the classic characters. Character recognition is a big deal for them!

We watch any and all of them depending on our mood but specifically Mary Poppins, Finding Nemo, Aladdin, and Sleeping Beauty.

Pinocchio is Walt's greatest movie & the attraction is a must see for those aged 8 -98.

Alice, Poppins, Jungle Book, Nemo, Toy Story, Mulan (& others) are all great.....but Pinocchio is better for lots of reasons & on several levels.

Not exactly what you were probably thinking of but when my kids were much younger we used to always watch a sing-along video called Disneyland Fun. It features many of the Disney favorite songs we all know and love and shows the characters having fun around the park. My kids loved watching it and getting excited for an upcoming trip.

Oh, that one is AWESOME in prep for a DL trip. A definite must! We had it on VHS for our older kids. Had to purchase it on DVD for my younger kids. And now my oldest has "stolen" it as her almost 2 year old watches it repeatedly.

One of favorite disney movies is "The Huanted Mansion" with Eddie Murphy. Makes the ride more fun. Works for us anyway....
