What are some movies that really made you think?
They could have touched you or disturbed you or whatever.
Some movies really hit home to some people.

For me...
I would have to say it was Sleepers.
[WARNING: This movie is NOT for kids.
Strong language, nudity, sexual content.]

The story is about four best friends that get put in juvy for an accident they caused.
They really didn't do anything that bad.
They are sexually assulted by the guards on a regular basis, which effects them thier whole lives.
This movie really bothered me.
I loved it.
But I couldn't get any sleep after watching it.
To think that kind of stuff happens to kids all the time really upset me.
Not only in juvy, but some kids face it in their homes everyday.
It made me realize just how horrible sexual abuse is.
I hadn't really thought about it that seriously until then.
But I cried my eyes out watching it.

What about you?
What movies really made you think?

Titanic.
Gladiator. (Watched it in History this year. The ending almost made me cry. And the ending song "Now we are free" just amazes me. Which I bought just a couple days ago and I'm listening to it as I'm typing this.)
The Patriot. (Watched it in History last year.)
The Pursuit of Happyness.
Romeo and Juliet. (Watched it in English.)
Freedom Writers. (We just finished watching this today in English.)
The Da Vinci Code (Well, it made me guess alot. So I guess think in that way.)
I'm sure there is more, but I can't think of any. I'll edit if I do.

But Wow.

Hmm, it also made me realize I owe alot of thanks to my school for showing me such wonderful movies.
All of the ones I watched at school I bought or am going to get just because I loved it so much.
Oh, and I'm buying the rest of the soundtrack to Gladiator.

freedom writers, v for vendetta, and amistad. if you want to know more about african slaves being brought to america you should watch amistad, we watched it in social. it will shake you to your core, but you will come out a better informed person in the end.

Pursuit of Happyness. I could feel what that Daddy felt. It's like I was worried about if we'd have enough money to eat/a place to sleep/ etc. It just really touched me.

Freedom Writers
We are Marshall
The Pursuit of Happyness

The Godfather I & II
Letters from Iwo Jima
Hero
Maybe more..
