Movies Renovation

Anyone know if they have finished renovating the rooms at the Movies yet?

Also, I put in a request for a room in the Dalmations section, as I have already stayed in the Toy Story section. Is this a good location to stay at? Not wanting to spend an extra $100 to stay in Fantasia. Is it close to everything? Should I ask for the Ducks or Toy Story instead?

There is a new ASMo FAQ thread on this board that should answer your questions about the renovations. I totally agree with you about the extra $100. The Dalmations is just a bit further from the main lodge and pool area. The Mighty Ducks is further down and you go through Dalmations. We stay in Mighty Ducks so we can have our "own" pool and laundry facilities and we find it much quieter than either the Fantasia, Toy Story, or Dalmations sections. If you are in the Ducks area it is faster to walk over to the ASMu to catch the buses. Only downside to Ducks is it's a bit more walking to the food court but we don't mind.

Thanks. I originally put down a request for Dalmations, but I think I'll change it to Ducks.

Stayed in Ducks in January and our room had been renovated. It may be the farther buildings but was less than a 5 minute walk to food court and main pool. We thought it was a perfect location.

When we stayed there I thought the Toy Story bldgs looked like the best spot. I'd request Andy's Room - that's the closest to the main bldg - almost touches it... and that section is SO cute!!

I was originally thinking of the Dalmations section, but now I'm wondering if I should ask for Toy Story instead. I like the idea, though, of being near the quiet pool (and renovated rooms) in the Ducks section.

What exactly did they renovate? Please don't make me look through all the posts in the FAQ's thread.
