movies at the pool?

When we were at SSR in June they had a giant movie screen that they had out at night. It was so cool to swim and watch a Disney movie. Do any other resorts offer this feature??

We were at ASM last Sept. and they had movies and Disney Channel Shows i.e. Hannah Montana, at the main pool.

That is really cool. I wonder how we found out what resorts do that and which nights.

yes, its at the main pool "High Rock Spring Pool" . Here is a picture I have of it, its before the movie started. I wish I would have taken one when it was dark because it looked really neat! Its so LOUD too! Even if you are not close to the movie screen you won't have a hard time hearing it. We sat all the way across the pool in the lounge chairs and it was great.

When we were there in June we saw The Little Mermaid and Ratatouille. Im almost positive that it wasn't every night...There was a schedule of all of the activities in the information packet we recieved at check in. If they are still doing this when you are there, I would check it out. Its not everyday the movie theater turns into a swimming pool!

Have a great time at SSR, Lynn570. I've been there twice so far and really do love it there! At first I was overwhelmed by the size of the place, but now its size it something I love about it. We stayed at the Paddock our first time, and just recently stayed @ The Springs. We had children with us, so we requested the Springs since it was close to the main pool. The walk from the Paddock to the main pool/lobby area is pretty long...but there is a smaller pool close by if you don't need the extras that the main pool offers.

The only Resorts I know of that show movies are All-Star Music and Saratoga Springs(Pool),Yacht and Beach Club(Beach) and Fort Wilderness(Close to Bike Barn),but there very well could be others.

Last year they showed them at All Star Music too! It was so much fun to float in the pool and watch Cars. I hope they do them again this year!

We were at Music in July and they were still doing it--I watched National Treasure 2 while the kids played in the pool

If not, we are allowed to pool-hop between All Star resorts, so does anyone know if there is a way to find out what is going on at other ALLSTAR pools from movies? i.e. can I get a schedule of the movies by the pool at Music at Movies?

Music is the only All-Star Resort that shows Pool Movies and has an Activity Program. I don't think Movies would have a schedule of Music's Pool Movies,but I would think you could get a schedule from the Check-In or Concierge area at Music.I stay at All-Star Sports and have found that the Lifeguards working at Music can tell you what Movie will be shown that night.

We're at BCV right now and watched National Treasure 2 on the beach tonight. Here is the schedule for this past week:

Tue - Monsters, Inc
Wed - College Road Trip
Thur - Finding Nemo
Fri - Mystery Movie
Sat - Enchanted
Sun - Toy Story 2

Movies start at 9:00pm.

Boo Hoo! My daughter just asked if she could watch a movie in the pool.... we stayed at ASMu last year but this year we will be at POP.

What a great idea! I wish I hd known when we were down there - we saw a movie in the pool over at the Nickolodeon, didn't know they did it at Disney also!
