Movies at SSR pool?

Have they continued? It looks like we'll be at SSR for our last 3 nights of our vacation (beginning June 10th ) We have AP's so, if we do go into parks, it's only going to be for brief, very specific periods, and want to enjoy whatever the resorts have to offer.

Has anyone here gone from SSR to Riverside to see/hear Bob Jackson?

We were there May 6-9 and they had movies at the Grandstand. WHen you check-in they will give you a list of activities for the week- you can find the movies on there.
They had Lilo and Stitch, Emporor's New Groove, and Ice Princess the week we were there.

We were there 2 weeks ago and one of the movies they showed was Toy Story.

I hope they're still doing this. We're going down for a relaxing 4 days. I would love to just sit by the pool and watch a movie.

We check out on the 12th, but our flight isn't til 7:30pm. We'll probably be around the pool and DTD until it's time to leave. Maybe we'll see you around the pool. Hopefully we get the Grandstand

From what I understand(I could be wrong though), they play the movie on an outdoor screen by either the High Rock Springs pool or the Grandstand pool.

they were set up at the Grandstand pool in early May- they had a big inflatable screen. I have a picture of it somewhere, I posted it before- if I can find it I will post it to this thread.

Hi Bobbi......haven't seen the movies at SSR pool.....but, did hear they were doing them a few weeks ago when we were at WDW. We stayed at OKW this visit, but, did go over to SSR to see the AKV models and check out the new Grandstand buildings since they weren't complete on our visit in January. We try to stop by and see Bob Jackson on every visit, but, this last visit was a quick 4 day trip with our 5 yr old grandson (just the three of us) and two of our three nights we did Illuminations and Fantasmic and the third night Gavin was just too tired to go see Bob. It's really very close to go from SSR to POR though. You might want to check Bob's website to make sure he's there during your visit. I believe he usually plays Wed thru Sat nights from 8 til midnight. His website is www.yehaabob.com. You'll find a lot of families from 8 til about 9:30 and then when he takes his first break quite a few with smaller children will begin leaving. When DH and I are there alone we usually drop by about 10 or so and stay until his closing.

The part about Bob Jackson is VERY good to know...thank you. We stopped by once, and it was so crowded, we didn't stay long, but now that we know this we will get there later. He'll be there the Wednesday and Thursday nights that we will be, and we're having friends coming on Thursday night. Seeing his show with them will be perfect! (We're sharing an Illuminations cruise on Wednesday. How did you enjoy yours??)

Yes, it does!! I have a Disbutton, and I have a lime green Mickey on my camera case. I've met a few Dis'ers, I hope to see some more NEXT WEEK!!!

That's cool. I'll look for that. I'll probably have one of my old Philly Fire Dept shirts on around the pool. Cant wear them to work anymore so they get used for the Gym, sleeping and pretty much bumming around. We'll also be the couple that bring their own cooler to pool area. We're not cheap but drinking at the pool bar can turn expensive.

Oh You'll hear me calling them Hanna and Hope and them running from me laughing... LOL!!!

We will most likely be at the main pool since Hope loves the water slide. Planning on spending most of the day there on Sat. we arrive about 11:00.......Hope to see you all there......Kristin
