When Disney premieres a movie on land, it also premieres onboard the ships. Typically there will be a midnight showing on that day in the Walt Disney Theatre, with subsequent showings for the remainder of the cruise in the Buena Vista Theatre.

Since this movie release is on Friday, I'd say that midnight (when Thursday becomes Friday) would be the first showing onboard.

Thanks!!!! That's a good bonus for us as DD really wants to see that movie.

Yes, they will. We were on the Fantasy when the Odd Life of Timothy Green (?-is that the correct title) had its premEAR :earsboy:at midnight. It is really special to get to see the movie when it opens on a Disney cruise ship! Enjoy your trip!!!!!!

How long will they typically play the movies? We cruise 12/1 and I'm curious if it would still be playing then or if we should go see it in the theater (at home).

Typically, movies on the ship play much longer than they do at land-based theatres. Especially if it's a hit.

Typically six months or more if very popular.

If a movie premiere coincided with disembarkation day. Would there be a premiere the night before at midnight. I only ask because on the last night, things seem rather quiet.

We went to one once at 12:01 the last night of our cruise--it made getting up the next morning (actually a few hours later!) extra rough, but it was fun!

We will be on the Dream beginning December 29-January 2.
Is there a way to find out what movies will be playing while we are on the cruise?
Thank you.
