Movie ideas for 7-10 year olds

Freaky Friday (old and new)
The Parent Trap (old and new)
Enchanted (definately not too old for it!)
Cheaper By The Dozen (1 and 2)
The Princess Diaries (1 and 2)
Annie (old and new)

Looking through my DVD collection...I tend to watch movie musicals. And lots of Disney movies.

My girls liked Because of Winn-Dixie (and I did because I got to look at Dave Matthews :thumbsup2) and The Bridges of Terabithia - not sure if that is the exact title.

They are also big Pirates of the Caribbean fans - but 7 might be a little young for those.

There are 2 sequals...one took place while 1 twin was in California and married and her sister was single and had a daughter who went to summer school with the Savanna Smiles girl.

The follow up--the Cali twin was divorced--and for some reason I am remembering her in Hawaii and getting hooked up there. Triplets were on there as well and were causing all the shenanigans. (one of the triplets played Tori on Saved by the Bell.)

I LOVED the sequel with the triplets! I think there were 3 sequels, one with Tom Skerrit, one with Barry Bostwick (oh, Brad) and then the Hawaiian Honeymoon with the Creel triplets. Who knows? Maybe they are all running together! Thanks for bringing back some memories! You don't by chance remember the TV series "Rags to Riches" do you?:thumbsup2

Princess Bride -
We showed it at DD's slumber party when she was 9
Due to the age differences between our kids we have a good selection of older movies that we now watch with DD but many of them can be rented.

The Goonies
The Navigator
E.T.
Short Circuit
Radio
October Sky
Buck Rogers
My DD recently watched all 5 Rocky Episodes :lmao: and currently records every MacGyver episode she can get her hands on.

I'd love to show E.T. to our kids, but when I watched it just a couple years ago (for the second time) I was surprised at the language. It would be a little too much for our kiddos.

Thanks for all the great ideas. I also have Tuck Everlasting, which I know my DD's loved when they were younger. I loved it too - such a cute movie.

Yep, it's the one with the Savannah Smiles girl I was talking about. (I loved that movie too!) I couldn't remember enough of the other one to describe it, but you're right, it was triplets that time. - The OP could have a whole marathon of movies.
