Movie Cash from General Mills

Thought I'd share this in case others are looking for a good deal.

Publix has Cheerios in the yellow box on BOGO Free this week for $3.99 (18 oz box). The boxes have codes in them from General Mills to cash in for Movie Cash (value up to $12). I had coupons for 50 cents off per box, so for $2.99, I got two boxes of Cheerios and $12 movie cash.

We took the kids to see Wreck It Ralph today - fun movie!

Using my online coupon sites, I've been able to print out enough Cheerios coupons to do the deal three more times in all - which is great because that Movie Cash will now become part of Christmas! (and I found one site where the Cheerios coupons were 60-cents instead of 50-cents). We eat Cheerios regularly and as it happened were on our last box (because yeah, I've learned the sale cycle!)

just thought I'd share this here in case anyone else was interested - watch for the sales, the specially marked boxes, and the companion coupons! You need two codes to get the movie cash, and once you redeem it, you have three months to use it (ours that we did today had a January 31, 2013 expiration date).

I just got back from Target where I loaded up on cereal. Unfortunately they weren't on sale, but I had printed coupons off of coupons.com (plus I got a Catalina at the register for 2$ off 5 boxes) and used my red card for 5% off, so my 'deal' ended up being $6.03 for 2 boxes of cereal and 1 movie ticket, which is less than the cost of even a child's matinee ticket around here. (Tempted to wait for a sale, but who knows how long those marked boxes will be around!) Fiber One, Lucky Charms, Cinnamon Toast Crunch, and Reese's Puffs are all included in the offer.
