hi

we are considering going this year in october and again in january, can anyone tell me what the above hotel is like, i found another website which states that the hotel has mainly german, swiss and austrian guests, would be nice to hear some english whilst staying there? or we are considering the sequoia lodge hotel. we are also hoping to go later on next year as my son has gone "cars" mad and we would love to take him on the new ride so we are considering the annual passes. if anyone has any info or help would be appreciated.

thanks

Some pictures and description of the hotel here. Although it is quite old hopefully is of some use :)

We stayed at the Dream Castle in 2004, and found it to be a lovely hotel. It is meant to be aimed at the German market predominantly, but we heard plenty of British voices whilst there - I don't think that will be an issue for you. The breakfast is the best that I have encountered anywhere on Disney property, including the DLH.

Having said that, given the choice I would always stay in a Disney hotel for preference, I would pick Sequoia Lodge because of the atmosphere there.

If you're getting APs, the room only rate direct from the Holiday Inn's website can be very good - we just had 2 nights there for 71Euros per night - about a £100 for the 3 of us for both nights. HI is similar to Dream Castle in that it is a nice hotel with good facilities, but doesn't quite get that Disney magic factor.
Hope this helps :sunny:

We just got back from a week at the Dreamcastle hotel yesterday. I would have no hessitation in recommending the hotel to you. The rooms are clean, bright and nicely furnished. The public areas are beautifully decorated and fun to be in. The only caveat I would have is don't bother with the dinner buffet, which was expensive (£28 euros per person) and the food was really not very good. The bus services is pretty regular (if a bit cramped at peak times) and we even walked to and from the parks on a number of occaisions, which was a nice bonus and only took between 15 and 20 minutes.
