I just moved from Pop to POFQ. Will be there Sept-14-19. 1st time at WDW. I know Disney and the word free do not go together but is there any thing to do for free? I have a standard room no smoking. I have 3 in my group that will need to be in wheelchairs most of the time. They can not do a buch of walking. Is there a building that I should ask for? I really do not need to be close to a play ground (no kids going) next to a spa would be nice. Where can I find pictures of the grounds? I am sure that I will have more question letter but that is all for now.

What are the pool hours at POFQ? How many pools does it have? What are the restaurant like. Anything that is a must. What is the best wasy to get to MK Epoct AK MGM.

Hi,
We will be at the POFQ in June. They only have one pool( dragon pool), but you can use the pools at POR. There are five of them I think. Four quiet pools and the one main pool(Old man Island).
Every thing is close to each other so you shouldnt have a problem getting to things. There is not a sit down restaurant at POFQ, but there is a food court. There is a sit down at POR. The boat to DTD is really nice.
Hope you have a great trip!
Betsy
PS
Here is a site with some pictures, This is before the renovations, so It will be a little differernt(hopfully better)when you get there.

Regarding pool hours....correct me if I'm wrong but I believe most Disney resorts do not close the pools. They are open 24/7 but obviously you must keep the noise level down late at night and there is no lifeguard available at night.

As for "free".....well downtown Disney is free and is a great place to walk around at night and check out all the shops and sights, but I personally think it's impossible to not spend money on a Ghiradelli (sp?) icecream!

;)

In the pictures I see stairs. Just making sure that there are other ways to get on floors 2 and 3. Or should I ask for ground floor. My DM does not do stairs very well.

Hi Minniegidget,

You might want to check out the disabilities section of this bulletin board. I'm sure they'll be able to answer alot of your questions.

Another thing you might want to do is call the WDW special accomodations number at (407)939-7807 and let them know what your situation is. They can arrange for you to be in the type of room that best fits your needs.

Have a great trip.
