Move over Dumbo our circus is taking over! Surprise trip adventure!!

Thanks for sticking around!

You are on a tear here woman with the updates. I can't keep up. :lmao:

I know right?!?! It's the weather.. I hate it. So i have to think warm fuzzy thoughts! what better way than to relive the trip of a lifetime!

I can't believe you had never done the Backlot Tour before. I'm glad you got in before it closed permanently. Twice Andy was in the scene where they take volunteers...although he didn't volunteer, his teams volunteered him. :rotfl2::rotfl2:

Nope! Never did it before and i have no idea why! No kidding it must have been SO MUCH fun to watch him in the show! I felt sorry for the poor soul in the booth when the water hit!!!

And your sweet Meg got to meet Mary Poppins.

She did! she was So happy.. I think more for the penguin then mary... :rolleyes1

And then you did One Man's Dream....a favorite (and aren't you glad you did after seeing the Archives here?).

I was in love.. just in love with everything. i spent a lot of time in there looking at everything and soaking it all in! I was a bit betrayed as i thought the desk at the archives was the real desk from Walt.. Doesn't matter i saw the real thing now!!!

Great pictures with the characters and nice drawings too.

Yeah not going to quit my day job. yet it was lots of fun.

Gorgeous evening pictures at TOT (love your ride photos) and Rock & Roll.

thanks!

Love how Mousekeeping decorated your room while you were away.

WHAAAAAAA? Mousekeeping did that? The animals didn't come to life?!?! OH THE HORRORS! THE LIES!
it was really cute they had a lot of fun with all the animals all over the place!

And fun photopass pictures at AK! I know where you are going for breakfast. :)

Is there any other place?!?!

Love your HS pics!
Did you guys close down the park? :)

We totally did. Nighttime at Disney is just magical. Plus we wanted to do ToT at night!

I laughed out loud at my desk when I saw the picture of your hubby holding onto Yoda!!:rotfl2:It made me really giggle. You have some beautiful photos!

I know! its another favorite ride picture!! I am sure he will do it up for the video NEXT TIME. :thumbsup2
I didn't tell any of them about ride videos.. so this was all new for them!

How late was it at HS? The streets are soooo EMPTY!!!! Did you all close the park down?

We were on the last ride of ToT then just kinda hung out until people left. once we knew people were pretty much gone is when we started out.. ::yes::

Best time is just to walk out alone in a park... :thumbsup2

Yes, reliving warm (okay, hot) days in Florida is better than what we have.

Love your pictures from Tusker House. I'm upset that Donald isn't outside anymore either,. Unfortunately, we were disapppointed in our breakfast at Tusker House in June so we won't be going back for awhile, but it's all about the characters anyway. :)

Love the cupcake face pictures. :)

I know you won't remember me, since it's been such a long time since I've made and appearance! lol Your updates are fabulous and the pics are so fun! You really capture the flavor of each park. (Love that hidden Mickey in the sky!!)

I'm sorry I've been such a bad DIS friend. You lead such a busy life with all the jobs, kids, animals, volunteering and all that jazz. So to say I've been busy would be laughable compared to you. But with traveling for Christmas to two of our kids, my Mom being in the hospital and working the condo, when I sit down, I don't want to do anything that would require much thought. So, TV it is!! Dan has missed me keeping up with you too, since he always gets a chuckle out of your posts of just life in general.

I'll try to be better, but not promising anything. I hope you are coping with the snow and cold ok. We knew it was bound to happen sooner or later, right? Keep warm, my friend! Love ya!

Whew, all caught up! I'm trying to get around to everyone's threads but being over a month behind sucks. :rotfl:

I'm not even going to try to comment because of course I don't remember everything at this point. I did enjoy catching up though and it sure beat working this afternoon. ::yes:: :lmao:

Yes it is...I have actually closed down Magic Kingdom once...it was so AWESOME! We were last ride of the night on Splash and wanted to buy the photo...they had some trouble printing it, so we literally had the CM "sweep" behind us. :rotfl: But it was also fun to see MK empty like that...they were even mowing the grass around the moat at the castle.

Yes.. Yes it is.. this just stinks. IF i was smart i would book a trip in January to escape this weather!

I don't remember what happened?? Where else is there to go to in AK for the morning??

Love the cupcake face pictures. :)

Fun isn't it? :rotfl:

Who are you again???
SO GLAD YOUR BACK!!!!

Blah blah blah... busy sh-mizie :rotfl: JUST KIDDING!!! I get it.. I am glad your back!!! Hope everything is Ok with your Mom!
Tell Dan i said HELLO!!!! The weather sucks here. It isn't like last year when we had enough snow to build the set of Frozen. The cold is what is killing me this year..

Stick around! I miss you!

Hey there! My darling Georgia Friend! Im just glad your still here and reading along. I have been a post fool lately. HA! Glad i gave you something to do besides work.. But if the boss asks.. It wasn't me

Yes it is...I have actually closed down Magic Kingdom once...it was so AWESOME! isn't it the best? you have the whole park to yourselves. NEXT TIME i will try to close MK and Epcot... i want the pictures! :thumbsup2

Today is another down day here with the cold coming once again to take over CHI-BERIA i will have some free time. I do have the 1st Deputy Commissioner coming over for a meeting with me.. Something to do with a new assignment... I am a bit nervous about it... (I like my Dis Time) :lmao:

He will be here around lunch time. I will let you all know how that goes!

Walking.

Our ride awaits!!

THRILLING train ride in

I would LOVE to tour these buildings!

ohhh lush.. and green..

When getting off the train. As usual we were last and the CM conductor asked the kids if they wanted to Toot the horn! OF course they did!!!
Then they were asked a couple of safety questions.. which of course being the super Mom i am they answered correctly!
they each got on of these:

Daddy and Daughter...

See the backpack?!?! Isn't it AWESOME?!?! That was our surprise delivery!

Playing with the WHERE IS IT they wanted the wilderness patch!

Or sticker whatever they give out for the little fun things to do over there

then another CM who had a guitar and was singing saw the kids birthday buttons and serenaded them!

video:

To say Matt was a bit embarrassed is wildly understated...

..

Another day of massive HEAT we wanted to get into the building. Chip and Dale were out small line nothing terrible. But the kids wanted out of the sun..

Meg was in her GLORY. She wants to be veterinarian when she grows up.

we went into those little room things jokingly of course.. Ended up being VERY COOL to listen too!!!
afterwards this guy came out!

I was really excited about this meet and greet i heard such great things about Rafiki! honestly? it was rushed. Autograph-picture Please move along... Oh well.. Hope NEXT TIME we will have more time!

Slithery things!

Snakes don't bother me. Feeding them bothers me. Now bugs??? Entirely different story. They scare the bejesus out of me.

Playing with poop.

biggest frog i have ever seen!

Nothing was going on so we kept moving outside in the heat.

.

Outside in the sweltering heat they had this gorgeous macaw out.

The kiddies wanted nothing to do with it... :sad2:

Oswald Goat

Mickey head goat:

the silly thing wouldn't come close enough to grab the picture.

territorial goat:

Meg walking a goat

Tom not too impressed with goats

We spent entirely WAY to much time with goats. we stopped at the little store bought some waters and the pin and off we went!

ohh here is the HORN pictures!!

back to our adventures!

We never have done the train ride. Looks very cool. The cupcakes in the face, kind of mean...and funny. :lmao:

I am loving all the updates.

I might have time for one more update before my meeting!

Finally getting on a ride! Zack was bouncing out of his shorts to get on SOMETHING

Which i will get to tomorrow!!!

Hope you all have a wonderful day!!

.

SO many updates!:cool1:
I really enjoyed going through your HS day as I just finished up my HS update this morning.
Animal Kingdom looks like a fun day so far!
I just love the throwback picture of your kids next to the recent one. So cute!!
How do you get your photopass pictures so big?
Photobucket will let me change the size of my photos but not the photopass ones for some reason.

HOLY UPDATES BATMAN!!!

Love the DHS pictures, I really love how that place looks at night! And closing down the park? SO COOL!

Love the pictures of the sleeping kiddos. Disney has a way of wearing you OUT, but you always spring back awake and take on the day! I CAN'T FREAKING WAIT!!

The Tusker House pics came out great. We have a ressie there, I love their Breakfast.

We also go right from Tusker house right to the Safari! It's awesome getting there so early in the morning when all the animals are out.

Can't wait to read about Everest!!

Holy Moly.....you are an updating fool! Didn't you get the memo???? The Dis isn't working well.....all your loyal followers are having a horrid time trying to post a reply.
Okay, maybe not all of them, just me. The Dis hates me!

Loved all the pictures! I have never done the Rafiki thing. AK has always been a half day park for us, so we always run out of ambition before we get to that. Maybe if we could go some time other than the 105 and humid summer....

Whew great reading for lunch today. Tried to comment from work but my outlook got frozen. So now I am home and replying - I know don't fall over.

I have no idea when we will get back. 2014 was my first "Survivor Celebration" and the first vacation that my sister surprised us in WDW. We decided then we should vacation together every year.

Otherwise this year was my daughters pick. We went to Jamaica. Awesomely beautiful island but a tad bit scary for three women alone. On the taxi ride to our resort two police cars were chasing another car and they passed us on the right with one of the police cutting in front of our taxi and everyone jumped out of their vehicles with big guns!!!! I did not want to leave the resort at all after that wild ride.

2015 may be a road trip for Hubby and I to the Rocky Mountains with discussions of possibly heading to CA to see the "big trees" on my bucket list. Maybe with a two day stop in Anaheim. That would be awesome but not sure if that is going to pan out.

I NEED to get back to WDW in the worst way. There had been some discussion of a van traveling down with lots of DISers. If I hear more about when maybe I could sneak down and meet you all there. I don't remember when or if this is truly going to happen. I will keep watching for info on this.

OK more than I have ever posted online and perhaps TMI as this is your report not mine. So I am leaving now. Have a nice nite and a good week.

Jane

I was so far behind and can't even remember what I wanted to say now. Oh well, just know that I'm still hear and am caught up again.

You are just on a roll with these updates aren't you?

Great safari pictures. Love the rhinos laying together, but especially LOVE my giraffes. :goodvibes

I'm so glad you got to Rafiki's Planet. If you do the Backstage Safari, you go in that Rhino and Elephant building. Unfortunately, the kids are too young. :(

I noticed the one time we saw Rafiki he was in a hurry too. We've never bothered with it again.

I don't like being with the goats either.

Great photopass pictures. And I love the comparison picture in the same spot.

I can't believe how empty Hollywood Studios was that day. It certainly made it easy to get lots of PP pictures. :)

We were at WDW in Sept, too, a couple weeks after you and found One Man's Dream and the Art of Animation building to be great places to cool off. In fact, because of the heat and humidity I was able to convince DH to take the animation class. We drew Buzz Lightyear and we both really enjoyed the class.

I also took the animation class at the Disney exhibit at the Museum of Science and Industry. We drew Goofy. Even our five year old grandson had fun with it.

Did you do any of the Frozen fun stuff? The fireworks were fantastic.

We ate breakfast at Tusker's and had a great time. I would go back just for the sliced ham. :)

It looks too hot out to spend a lot of time with goats. ;)
