I have been reading the Dis for years and never joined until March. However, I still cannot figure out how one would advance from rank to rank. Is it determined by how often you are on the boards, when you joined, how many posts... what? I'm sorry it probably is a silly question, but I literally know zip about this kind of stuff. TIA!

You advance ranks according to how many posts you have.

Heh heh usually the wit or color comes from something ridiculous in your own posts. See mine... got it after a trip report I posted about dining at Hollywood & Vine with the Little Einstein characters. June creeped me out... she followed me around the restaurant....
