Just went on mousesavers.com and she has another code listed AXB, which gets you the same discount as the AXA code. The source of the new code was Ebony magazine. So there seems to be hope for anyone who didn't get their choices with the AXA code.

Didn't you see on her website where she doesn't want you to post codes. Why don't you remove your post? She is providing a great service and everyone should have to go to her site to get the information.

I didn't see this request either. But when I look at Mousesavers, I don't even see the new code. LOL We're all excited about the new codes and want everyone to know!!!

I think the poster was just trying to help everyone out. Mary Waring and Mousesavers get plenty of publicity right here on the DIS. I don't think that the above poster was doing any harm whatsoever. JMHO. :)

WE provide a great service, too. The DIS is the largest Disney message board around. If someone wants to share information here, they are welcome to do so.

But the point is that Mary asks that you not post the codes on other boards.

If it were me and people couldn't follow my requests I wouldn't provide them.

I am sure that Mary puts a lot of work into her web site. I am sure her web site is supported because of the visitors. To take her work and post it elsewhere is not the right thing to do.

Let's see what Mary has to say.

I've seen loads of codes posted on these boards. I believe yesterdays thread about the new codes had the codes listed as well. And I believe mousesaver's was credited for them.

I'm sure the original poster was being good natured and wanted to share her info.

Safetymom,

Give me a break! The other thread has over 110 posts on it about people using codes and not one complaint was on it. I was just trying to help out my fellow DIS friends. If mousesavers has a problem with me trying to help out the people on this board, than she can email me. If you don't like what you see, than don't look! I don't like to be critical of others on this board, but that really got my feathers ruffled!!!

Actually, as I recall, what was requested was that exclusive offers and information published in her newsletter not be posted publicly.

I don't believe it had anything to do with information on her website. If you have a link to that disclaimer, you might want to post it.

To each his own. Just because someone else does it doesn't make it right.

She makes her money by people visiting the website and possibly buying something.

I have a right to my opinion just like you do.

Actually, I just took a pretty good look at her website, and if there's a request not to discuss codes, I sure don't see it. Again, do you have a link? I really think you're confusing her request about the newsletter with her website.

I'd bet Mary is pleased as punch to get the advertising she gets on this site. If she has a problem she'll say so. If I were you, I'd let her worry about it.

Hi all I started the original AXA post. I have never seen it posted on her site not to post info on these boards. If this is the case, please let me know. I will humbly apologise to Mary. Please provide the link that states this info, safetymom.

Thanks.

The codes are public information and you're welcome to post them anywhere you would like (within the Terms of Service of the board in question, of course), send them to your friends, or shout them from the rooftops if you'd like! :D

Of course, it's always nice if you give credit to whereever you found the code, be it MouseSavers or another site.

The request I've made, which I think may have confused safetymom, is that my newsletter subscribers not post certain very specific exclusive offers that are clearly marked in the MouseSavers newsletter. The reason is that the companies making those offers don't want them to be available to the general public, for one reason or another.

That's it! I'm definitely not trying to make any secret of the discount codes -- they are for anyone who wants 'em -- spread 'em far and wide!

I'm sure Tay N Evie's Mom posted to be helpful to everyone here on the DIS, and likewise safetymom was also trying to help, but just misunderstood my request about the newsletter offers. No biggie!

safetymom.....IMHO you were harsh and believe your approach was unnecessary
there are ways of advising people and you definitely missed the boat

Thanks Mary for setting it straight. I would hate to think that we were doing you a disservice.

I know we all owe you alot. I personally would like to thank you for saving us so much and making our vacations special.

Thank you Mary. I was very worried that I had, in some way, compromised our relationship. Had I received this in an e-mail with your expressed request NOT to post it I won't have. However these codes were public, magazine listed codes, & not only for mousesaver subscribers.

Thank you for the wonderful job you do. I for one have benefited greatly, as I have from the amazing wealth of shared information I have gathered on this board.

Magical dreams everyone.

:smooth:

I, too, believe safetymom to be a little too harsh here. If it wasn't for csmommy's post yesterday, I may not have been able to get the discount either. I don't check mousesavers until I get an email and I check these boards countless times during the day.

Thanks, csmommy and Mary!!!!

Your very welcome! I just wanted to share the codes I know everyone, including myself, had been waiting for. Have a magical trip!

Hello everyone!

This is my first time posting on the boards. I already have reservations made for Disney’s All Star Movie resort for the first week of August. I made the reservations through Walt Disney Travel Company. I was wondering if, when codes come out for my time of stay, if I could apply them to my reservations even though I booked through WDTC or do I have to be book through the CRO to use the codes?
