Okay, I have a question. As I was scanning mousesavers.com this morning this is what I saw:

A little bird tells me a special discounted Walt Disney World vacation package for late October through Christmas is coming very soon -- keep checking back!

On one of the other boards they were betting and hoping that is was for Free Dining. If this is true and I already have a package booked in Dec with the dining plan Can I have it switched to the free package,do they do it automatically,or do I have to cancel and re-book?? If I do cancel and rebook will there be a penalty for canceling?? Regardless I hope that is the free dining

thanks in advance
Debbie

I don't want to burst anyone's bubble here but I seriously doubt we will ever see free dining the same way it was again.

Sept. is value season; Oct and Nov are regular season, first part of Dec is value.
September is peak hurricane season...I bet Disney needed to offer something huge to get people to even think about coming in that month given the number of hurricanes that hit FL last year at that time.

Oct and Nov are Food & Wine Fest, MNSSHP, Jersey Week, Super Soap Week, Thanksgiving. Why would they offer something huge like free dining when they are SO booked up right now?

Only if there were a lot of onsite rooms unsold would a really big deal come out. It doesn't benefit Disney to give a discount if the resorts are already full. It doesn't make business sense for them to offer a discount if it isn't needed for them business-wise.

I wouldn't hold my breath on free dining. Mousesavers said a discounted package...discounted is not free.

By "reading between the lines" from other posters who seem to have "inside" information, the consensus is 100% that it will not be free dining.

I am sure they know exactly what the deal is but cannot say anything about it. My "assuming" it is not free dining, I am sure they know it is not.

The PP is totally right on with everything they wrote, it may be discounted, but certainly not free dining. Never know though, pixie dust never hurts :wizard:

we booked our vacation in july, we just missed the offer for free dining but booked anyways, after booking through AAA, the offer for free dining came out again, so i called the travel agent and it was deducted from each of our four groups going, a total of 12 people. it saved us ALOT of money, we bought no food in disney and had so many meals left over, it is worth paying for it, you cannot eat all the food your entitled, trust me. tip...pay for the childs meals and adults can use the child's counter services and table services, email me, I know so much about the dining plan. lisaanddenny030406@hotmail.com

Hopefully you didn't pay OOP for your children and then have dining credits left over??????
