Does anyone know if Mary @ mousesavers sent out her 15th of the month newsletter?

For some reason I didn't receive one .... anyone else?

I emailed Mary today. I suspected it was the same reason I'm not receiving email notifications from this board----AOL's new spam/bulk mail filters. AOL is blocking her newsletter ! Poor Mary is overwhelmed with emails (all AOL cutomers) who did not receive it. She is unable to resend them because of the cost to her. She suggested to me, resubscribing for the newsletters under a free email account such as Yahoo or something. We won't get this month's newsletter, but we will get August if we do this. As long as AOL continues to block mass mailings (Mary said she has at least 50,000 subscribers), we won't get her newsletter I was online with AOL tech support complaining about both the DIS boards email notifications which I'm not getting, as well as my subscription to Mary's newsletter. The tech person was patronizing and kept repeating over and over again that I need to check my email preferences and what they're set to. PULEEZE.....I've had the preferences the same for the past year. AOL refuses to admit it's them that is at fault !
I'm in the process of dropping AOL soon.....I'm paying good money for poor service.

I have AOL and didn't get the newsletter either. I just subscribed under my work e-mail.

Funny, AOL doesn't manage to block the viagra e-mails!

You know when I saw this thread somehow I thought it was going to be an AOL Issue. My mom used them and I nearly went insane! It is great if you don't want anything but AOL content, but otherwise......

I do not use AOL and never have. I did not receive my July newsletter either.

I have AOL and received my newsletter on 7/15 with no problem. I have noticed that I don't receive DIS email notifications anymore...but that's ok, I'm here all the time anyway!

DebbieB, let me know if you find a way to block all those viagra emails.

This AOL @$%* is starting to really bug the @$%* out of me. You know... I feel like I missed something really important by not receiving that newsletter...Now, I might not have used any of the discounts this month ... BUT ... I still wanted to know them.

Creating new accounts ... more passwords ... more addresses ... more hassle .... there has to be an easier way. I want my life to be like it was before the MATRIX was released.

Crud.... I'm as mad as hell and ... and ... I'm going to look @ our scrapbooks and pour me another glass of wine and think of WDW vacation memories.

PS... my email address still works from non mass mailings.

Same here!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have AOL, no newletter, no DIS e-mails either I DESPISE AOL........but its all we can get where I live

For all of you that use AOL for e-mails, I have been using Yahoo e-mail for years. It's free and easy to use.

I'm another one without AOL and I didn't get July's newsletter either. I even use one of those free email accounts. Anyone want to take a guess as to why?

I still have a copy of the July newsletter and would be happy to forward it to those of you who had it blocked by your ISP. Just PM me with your email address and I'll send it on to you.

I also recommend a free email account from Yahoo. Mine works great. I like that they put all the "spam" /bulk mail into a special folder. You can look at it if you want (and rescue the messages that you actually want). You can also empty out the whole thing with one click or just let it sit and Yahoo will delete it for you after 30 days.

I don't think there is anyway to stop the viagra, mortgage, pharmacy, porn, septic tank and etc. messages from coming. I really like waving good-bye to all of them (unread) with just that one click of the mouse. Of course, that's after I move Mary's newsletter to my "real" inbox!

Another AOL member here...and I didn't get my newsletter. Glad to see I wasn't the only one. I felt bad emailing Mary and bugging her. Thought it was only me. I always get my changes email to the mousesavers website. Couldn't figure out why I didn't get the newsletter.
