Has anyone been on, signed up for, or heard anything about the DVC exclusive "MouseQuest" adventure advertised on the member website? I was wondering if it would be worth the cost of $59 per person on a Tuesday morning for 3 hours. The one attractive part is that it states you do NOT need to have park admission. :mickeyjum

Thanks for posting. I had not seen this and took a look. We have done many tours. This looks similar to goofy's mystery tour (for CMs). This might be something our group might be interested in. I'll have to check with them. We would be going May 8th as that's the only day we have that we all overlap. The other tour looks similar to the parts of the all day backstage tour of the 3 parks.

Where is this on the website? It sounds very interesting but I can't find it under Tours.

It's under special tours on the opening page. It sounds really cute.

Thanks. I found it. It sounds like fun, but not this trip. My in laws are coming with us.

I wish I had a trip planned to coincide with these dates, Mousequest sounds like a lot of fun.

If anyone does this, please post back. We would love some feedback.:thumbsup2

There is something like that for just children to attend. Is this different?

I really want to do this! It's just DH and I.... do you think it's more for kids?

I was just going to post to ask questions on this. Unfortunately, we are going in August. I would definitely sign up if they offer it at that time!! We are always looking for something a little different and have done quite a few tours. Hopefully they will continue offering this if they see good responses.

Bumping this up...anyone tried it?! I'm dying to know whether to include it in our May plans!

We (me, DH, almost-7-yo DD, and almost-4-yo DS) will be doing the one on April 17. I will post a report here in the DVC-Planning forum when we return. I hope it's a blast -- I hate shelling out this kind of money for a total unknown.

We're ba-ack...

MouseQuest was fun, but unfortunately, I do have a bit of buyer's remorse. (Mostly because we didn't win -- I'm pretty competitive!)

My kids (turning 4 on Friday and turning 7 next month) were a little too young for it, but Disney's description did warn us about that, so I knew we were taking a chance. It was really hard on my youngest to be in the MK without going on any rides, so DH and I split up a few times so he could take the kids on a ride or two while I chased after those elusive questions.

I don't want to give any spoilers because it sounds like the same questions will be used over and over again. (The CMs made us turn in all print materials at the end of the quest.) Suffice it to say that some of them were REALLY tough -- and a few were subject to interpretation/argument. I really hope one of the questions is rewritten -- each team noticed that it was totally wrong and pointed it out to the CMs.

Competition was fierce in our group: there was only a 9-token gap between 1st and 4th place. The grand prize was nice. I'd say it would be worth it if a 2- or 3-person team won, but if the team were much larger, the total amount paid for the quest would probably be more than the dollar value of the prize. The consolation prizes were worth approx $12-$15 each (a $12 prize for the kids and a slightly more valuable prize for the adults). Again, I don't want to give specifics because the prizes were kept secret from us until the very end.

The high point? DH and kids were going to do a little "research" (and get the chance to take a ride) on the train and ended up with Dream FastPasses that were being distributed at the Frontierland Station. They called to let me know, and I managed to get there in time to get my own Dream FP as well. It was ironic, because earlier that day, I'd wished aloud that FPs would be part of the prizes awarded at the end -- after all, you're giving up the shortest-line time of day by doing the quest in the first place. Well, none of the Dreams Giveaways were awarded as part of the quest, but it just so happened to work out for us.

Thank you so much! I'm sorry you didn't win... but I am thrilled about the information. It will be just DH and I, and we were worried it would be too silly for adults! Thanks again! :goodvibes

The one attractive part is that it states you do NOT need to have park admission.
Forgot to add that some print material says park admission IS required. For our MouseQuest, they asked those who wanted to stay in the park afterward to use their admission media to enter while those who wished to leave were "floodgated" in -- and escorted out. We'd opted to go that route, until we won our Dream FPs and decided it was worth using a day of DH's park hopper (the kids and I have APs)! Anyway, the CMs acted like this floodgating was a special exception to the rules due to the earlier confusion. I'd plan on using park admission.

Has anyone else been on this tour? We are thinking of doing this in mid-May but would like to hear other experiences. We are all adults and don't want to do it if it is geared more toward children.

Thanks!

Donna

We just got back and did Mousequest on the 24th. It was a great time. Myself, DW, and DD age 11. We were able to ride both Pirates and Splash Mountain during the game. It was loads of fun and allows you to view the park in a very different manner. We did not win, but did score 69 points. The winning team scored 88. I would recommend it to others. It really creates a new sense of the Disney experience, forcing you to "work" and have fun. If anyone else has done it can you share your point total??

Enjoy

How long does it take to do it? Are you allowed to tell what some of the prizes were? Do you think it is best with 2 people in a team or more? Trying to decide if we might want to include it in our plans for Sept.

Also curious about this. We're two 30-something adults, no kids. Would we enjoy it? Is it physically demanding?
