hi

i have read on these boards, ages ago, that if you leave little things for mousekeeping they will do things to your room. is this true? what kind of things would i leave?

not long now

MONEY!

We tried little gifts but they only took the money.

They arranged our DD's soft toys each day - the dog with his paws hanging over the top bunk - Pal Mickey sitting on the table with a little message on a note pad - other toys grouped togeter reading etc etc.

We left @ $3.00 per day.

Hi Lucy

We have only left our tips at the end of our holiday (not daily), but Mousekeeping still arranged all the soft toys in our window, and one day they had youngest DD's Dalmatian toy on the floor near the bathroom with the toilet roll in its mouth (like the Andrex puppy).

Hi Lucy:wave2:

When we stay on site we leave $3-$5 dollars every day in mousekeeping envelopes we printed & took with us.

When we came back from the parks our DD's were always running to open the room door first to see what the mousekeepers had been up to that day. The best 1 we came back to was, when she had all the soft toys on the bed watching the TV(which was left on) 1 of the toys had the remote in its hand & an other toy had the phone next to its ear(she had a book on the receiver button).:Pinkbounc ;)

I think its well worth it just to see DD's faces.

Love Audrey:crazy:

P.S. remember to have a camera with you

Mousekeeping are the tops at this kind of thing! If they know there are children in the party, they'll usually do something to surprise them :) Even if it's an adult-only party, they will often make up the towels into fancy shapes, etc.

Over the years, as well as the toys in lots of various poses we have come back to a swimming pool, slide and beach scene made up out of towels with the toys 'swimming' and 'sunbathing'; we've had Easter themed rabbits and swans from face cloths; we've found one toy 'reading' to the others grouped around in a circle; and we've had a little postcard from the toys hoping we've enjoyed our day.

We used to leave a tip only at the end of the stay, but we try to remember now to do it daily so that it always goes to the Mousekeeper on duty that day. :)

Magical! :sunny:

We left about $3 a day in the Mousekeeping envelopes :)

At POR the maids arranged all our DDs soft toys for when we got back from the parks etc.
But at AKL they didn't seem to do it - don't know why :(

Reading this made me smile. Just remembering how our two DDs used love getting back to the room to see what their "pets" had been up to whilst we were out brings back some great memories, they couldn't wait to get the door open. The housekeeping at ASMo was great she did some really funny stuff with the animals and a couple of times we had some towel animals as well but the funniest was the day we got back to the room to find it full of Tinkerbell balloons:teeth:

Annmarie

p.s. we used Heidi's envelopes and left about $4 to $5 a day

I tend to leave tips daily as the person doing your room might change. We leave $3-$5 a day.

The towel animals are fun!
