One more time...what is the usual fare for Mousekeeping?

I'm in the midst of printing out envelopes....

How much per day per person? What is customary? I can't remember....

I've read anywhere between $3 & $5 a day. One poster mentioned it depended on how much they asked for things like extra pillows-etc. One person also mentioned if they kept up with shampoo, etc. and not just bed-making -they gave more. I know my concern was leaving at the end of our trip-always do- and not getting to the person who actually may deserve it. I think I may leave it each morning also!

Here's a tip to a link I found. Says about $1 per person per day. So, for our family of 4; that would be $4/day!

$4 a day if you use the service sounds fair.

we dont use the mouse keeping service and ask that they dont enter the rooms. so we only leave $5-7 before we leave for the week.

I never thought of this, but tipping daily is the way to go. Tipping in chunks or all at once may screw someone if you have different attendants straightening your room on different days. BTW, I have tipped $5 per room per day with 4 people in each room...a bit heavy, but worth it.
