Mousekeeping Tips?

You dont have to leave a tip for Disney Mousekeeping. It is just a generous thing to do. Also I always do it because I know I will be returning to the same resort the followig year and dont want to look cheap and Disneys CMs looking down on you.

I think I'm generous enough paying the exorbant amounts for the Disney deluxe resorts that we do.

Plus I don't understand the bolded print, do you think they really remember from year to year if you tipped housekeeping or not?

We always tip Mousekeeping in special, pre-made envelope. $5 for our family of 4. I just like making people smile

im not sure if i will tip or not i guess it will depend on the service. i guess i fyou think about it they do provid eyou a service, but you do pay for that service in your daily rate. but this could go back and worth like this all day. I will just see how it goes.

Wow, this surprises me about the sheets. I thought they always changed them every day. I kinda figured they did that so they didn't have to worry about who was checking in and who was checking out on what days. And I think that's a good policy. So you're telling me if housekeeping doesn't realize that the person before me checked out that day, I'll get his dirty sheets?

I think every time I've ever checked out of a hotel (disney & otherwise) someone from housekeeping has been around asking what time we planned to leave that day...they always seem to have a print-out & know you're leaving. I always figured they were asking because they knew they had to do extra work to get the room re-done for new guests...

BTW, we always tip daily, and have always had excellent service. This last trip, we asked for extra coffee almost every day (and got it...maid even stopped us one day to ask if we wanted extra caff or de-caff or both, then left just extra caffeinated because that was what we wanted. Apparently she made a note of it somewhere because the rest of the week, they all left just the extra caff. coffee we wanted, and it was not the same maid every day...in fact I don't think we got the same housekeepers twice in the whole week.)

We made our own cards on DLTK-kids.com and left five dollars in them each morning while staying at ASMo. The mousekeeping was not great- but he tip was NEVER taken! The cards clearly said housekeeping and were very cute! Oh well, I saved about $30.
