Mousekeeping tipping?

I would like to start making my envelopes for mousekeeping. This is our first trip to WDW. Can anyone help with how much is a good amount to give to mousekeeping for 2 adults (DH and myself) and 1 child (DS-5 yr old)? I would leave one envelope each day. Is one envelope enough (will there be more maids)?

One envelope is enough. Most people pay a dollar per person, no matter what the age.

You may have more than one maid service your room throughout your trip so make sure you leave out a daily tip instead of leaving it all to the end.

Make sure that housekeeping (mousekeeping) understands that it is for them. We mark the evelope and leave it on the toilet seat. I read this tip a few years ago and it worked well for us. If they are not 100% sure it is for them they will not take it.

Thanks for the great tips. I will use them all. I plan on printing out enevlopes from another site that have WDW mousekeeping pictures on them.

Yep,

We do this on our trips and they've always taken them.
I agree with the daily tip as well.

I know there are sites that do this, but I just used word and the envelope printing template. I already had the Disney font on my computer so I just put "Mousekeeping" on each of the envelopes.

We tip $5.00 a day for the four of us. We always have great mousekeeping.

If you are staying in a deluxe and will want turndown service, you will have a second housekeeper to tip each day. In the morning $3-5 is good depending on how messy you are. In the evening $2-3 is fine.

I've got my printed up already. We put a dollar per day per person. Four dollars a day.We try to be neat so there is not too much mess. April

WEre staying deluxe, concierge, assuming they have turndown service, do you have to request it, and when do you leave a tip for this?
