What is the appropriate amt. to tip mousekeeping daily? We will have 2 room (hopefully connected) at the ASMo Resort. 1 room will have 2 people and the other will have 1 person. Thanks!

We tip $1-$2 per person per night. I have seen previous posts on this board that housekeeping is not a tipped position but we tip.

During my solo visit to WDW last week (ASMu - 8 nights), I left $2 every day on the sink with a note that said "thank you!".

Each day when I came back to my freshly made-up room, the note and the $2 were still there.

First time I've ever had that happen.

Unless they were POSITIVE it was for them they wouldn't take it so I'm thinking maybe it was written in English and they read and write maybe Spanish?? Most of my dearest friends only know one language or the other so this makes sense to me. I'm going to start leaving my notes in both from now on. It's a shame to think someone would miss out on a much deserved tip because of a language barrier.

We left between 5-10 each day. (3 Adults, AKL). We left the money under the card they fill out with their name on it in the sink area. We received extra towels, soaps and shampoos each day.

Leave your money on the pillow of the unmade bed and mousekeeping will take the tip. Leaving tip money this way is a universally accepted method of offering a gratuity.

There were two of us at the WL and I tipped $3 per day. I left it in the card that the housekeeper put on the mirror over the sinks. It was laminated and had her name on it. Every day we had extra soap, shampoo and lotion.
