Mousekeeping question for a DVC stay

I know the basic mousekeeping rules for a DVC stay as far as when they come to visit--but is there anyway that we can get a couple of extra towels when we get there. We are a family that includes 3 girls and each of us are 2 towel users--one to wrap our hair up in and one for our body. We are staying at BWV. Does anyone know if I can get some extra towels upon arrival and who do I ask--front desk, someone in mousekeeping? This is the only problem I can foresee us having with the lack of mousekeeping--well that and the garbage--are there central garbage cans or a garbage chute where we can empty our own garbage? Thanks!!

we always ask for extra towels and have never had a problem
this past trip my son got ill in the middle of the night. i used up just about every towel we had to clean up and in the morning i called and they brought me as many as i asked for.

garbage is in a specified area for each resort. a seperate room on the main floor I think, at least at SSR it is on the main floor of the buildings. not a hassel at all.

Extra towel packs (4 washcloths, 4 hand towels, 4 Bath) are suppossed to be $6 each from housekeeping.

A studio and one bedroom villa will have four bathtowels, two hand towels and four face cloths. A two bedroom same X2, three bedroom same X3. If you need more, order an extra towel pack for $6.

Hi, we're a three girl family, too, and I share your pain about the towels!! As others have said, there are options to get more. However, here's a tip I've started to use at home and when we travel, and it has helped enormously.

I went to a beauty supply store (I think these are also getting to be routinely available at Target, etc.) and bought several of those turban-type head wrap towels. They are FANTASTIC for wet girl hair - and I cannot tell you how much laundry I have saved - at least two towel loads per week. We have about six now - we use them to wrap our wet hair, then hang then up to dry when we're finished. They hang easily on a doorknob, dry pretty quickly, and are so easy to pack and store because they are so small. I finally took them on vacation with us and it was so nice not to have to stress and ration out the "real" towels.

We hate to use regular towels on our hair now. I really recommend this at WDW - the mousekeepers won't bother them if they're hung up, and it really saves on towel use. Just a thought!!!!

Awesome suggestion-Thanks :thumbsup2

I'll have to check Target and maybe Sally Hansen Beauty Supply (the only supply store that I know of in the area) We also have a bed bath and beyond that I could check. That's a great idea!!! Thanks

Yep, Sally Beauty Supply is a good source - I didn't know if you had one locally! They really have been lifesavers for us - and I'd rather put the $6 towards them instead of "renting" more regular towels at WDW.

Just adding I got mine at Linens and Things - they come in colors, mine isnt the turban style, but it works fantastic, soaks up water like a sponge, very lightweight, better than my dh's "camp towels" he bought at a camping supply store!!
