Got back from our trip in january, it was great! everyday when we arrived from the parks, we were left with a wonderful towel animal. as soon as i can figure out how to post the pictures i will. by the way, we did tip them everyday.

We got a card and picture signed by Mickey and Minnie with balloons for our anniversary (plus towlel animals!)

We got little towel animals each day at our stay at CR. It's silly but we really looked forward to retuning back to our room for our little surprise. She would leave them in different places, so we had to look for them, it was so much fun.:Pinkbounc

We tipped last week at Pop Century and were lucky to return to a room where the dirty towels had been collected. I would put the bath towels on the floor in the bathroom, but the hand towels were left on the sink area and the maid didn't even look close enough to collect them most days. Oh, well, I wasn't expecting anything magical (would have been nice, but I wasn't going to judge them based on that), but mousekeeping was a bit lacking compared to my other trips.

T&B

A few years ago on the Disney Cruise, our mousekeeping left towel monkeys hanging from the bunk beds :D

Do they only do this if they think children are staying in the room?

I stayed at Pop with some friends in January and we also had the towl animals each day. Its just fun to go back and see what you have

We spent nine days at Pop Century in January. No towel animals.
Not one! We tip every day so I don't think that determines who gets towel animals.

Just spent 9 nights at WL and no towel animals, no funny things done with my kid's stuffed characters, nada. We tipped everyday too. My infant threw up in our bed one night and I assumed we don't have to instruct the maid to change the sheets. But the next night there was the throw up stain. Luckily we had 2 queens and my dh slept in the other bed with my ds so I wouldn't have to sleep in the stain. The next morning the maid was in the hallway and I asked her to change the sheets because of my infant. She had me go into the room to point out which bed to change. I'm sorry but I know Disney is big on conservation but I was starting to wonder how far I should go for something so basic as clean sheets. Mousekeeping was not even minimally what I expected.

We just got back from POR, tipped every day, and no towel animals. Oh well, at least the room was cleaned, very well I might add.

our trip to AKL was made even better by our mousekeeping lady: no towel animals, but she'd take our 'fluffy travelling companions' and arrange them in various poses: not sure if finding them 'reclining' by the pool made of towels or having the picnic with our chips and cereal from the TV cupboard was the funniest. She'd even leave little notes from them to us - and we are two fully grown (physically anyway) adults, not a 'proper' kid in sight! Admittedly I did seek her out each time to say thank you - and the peals of laughter coming from the room as we arrived back each lunchtime may have given her some encouragement but she was fab.

Absolutely does not! It depends on who is your housekeeper, do they have time to do this and their mood.

Not everyone gets towel animals.

We were in room 1472 at PC in Jan. That's the 50's A bldg. 4th flr. Our housekeeper never left any Towel Animals. So you might want to avoid that bldg or at least that flr in that bldg if you want them. We don't really care. Sometimes we get them sometimes we don't.

We were also in building A, 50s section. First floor. I guess there is no time for folding in bldg A. We saw other building had "pets" waiting in the window for their people to return.

We stayed at Pop over Valentine's weekend....while we had no towel animals, they did leave my daughter's stuffed animals in the window or on the bed in some funny way!
