I love making envelopes for Mousekeeping tips...Would anyone share photos of the envelopes theyve made? Looking for new ideas!

Did you check the Disigners board? I found a bunch there.

This last time I let DGD decorate them herself.

I used the ones from WDW Prep School's website last time; I LOVE the Epcot one but my DFi and I are Epcot fans! :)

I'm so glad I'm on this board - I would never have thought to leave a tip daily - we always just leave one at the end when we travel! A question - the envelopes are so cute (I just went down the rabbit hole on pinterest!)...where do you leave them so you're sure mousekeeping will see them?

I put my tip, when I leave one, on the mirror. Sometimes I have tape, sometimes I put it in the frame.

We just give our DDs envelopes with Housekeeping TIP on it and let them decorate them with stickers drawings etc.

I leave it on the table by the entryway or by the television. Theyre clearly marked "Thank you Mousekeeping" ive heard if theyre not properly marked they may not take them.

All of my tips for my trips are pre-portioned out. The ones for Mousekeeping are the ones I decorate. I know which dining im doing and the approx cost so I portion those out in regular envelopes, tips for skycap, shuttle driver, etc. I put them all in the safe and everyday before I head out I drop the tips ill need for the day in my purse. Just one less thing to worry about.

Those envelopes are such a great idea! We were terrible at leaving tips. Sometimes honest mousekeepers left them behind because I guess it wasn't clear the money was for them, God bless them. Totally doing this next time (please let there be a next time!).

Im super terrible at tipping. I think that's why I am so crazy about having everything ready. When I was a Cast member I had guests give me cute cards every so often and I LOVED getting those. They are in my box of memories from my time working for the mouse. Im hoping the CMs that get these love them as much.

Housekeepers can be different from day to day; that's why it's important (if you choose to tip...Disney Housekeeping (they aren't called Mousekeeping) is officially a non-tipped position) to leave the tip each day.

When I tip housekeeping at ANY hotel I use a piece of notepaper and write "For Housekeeping, thank you" on it. I put the tip under it. I put it in a very visible spot with nothing else around it.

(And I never leave any OTHER money around. Once at a hotel in NC I was cleaning out my purse in the last few nervous minutes before going to my little brother's wedding, and I pulled out a bunch of change and stuck it in a pile of other purse detritus. The housekeeper picked through all my receipts and other junk and took all of my change. I was in part of a true two bedroom suite paid for my mom, and SHE had put out the VERY generous tip in the living room area of the suite, so that was just cruddy of the housekeeper.)

I would usually leave it on the bedside table with a little not to make sure they know it for them to keep and sometimes when I'm in a hurry I put it on the tV furniture and I stick the corner of the money underneath that little blue card they have letting you know who is your Mousekeeping. In both situations, the tip was not left behind. :D

How much do you tip each day in a regular two bed room with two guests?

I do $5/day. I've heard others say they do $1/person/day but it's usually just me and one or two friends so I do $5 as a minimum. Unless we've left a huge mess ill throw in an extra couple of dollars but we tend to keep it pretty neat.

Sometimes ill leave a note asking for more shampoo or soap or something so ill leave an extra dollar or two for that.
