Mousekeeping at POP

What has been your experience with Mousekeeping at Pop Century? We ran into a couple of ???, can't really call them problems. Cleaning just didn't seem up to par for Disney. We had a dirty towel that was left on the floor and not replaced. Also the counters around the sink was not wiped.

One thing in particular was that our plastic disposable cups were never replaced. I know they are replaced at All Stars and of course the glasses are replaced at the Deluxe resorts. The only reason this is a big deal is because we use these cups to give our daughters their medicines in the morning and at night. We got back from the parks the first night and the cups were not replaced. We had two rooms so it wasn't a problem since we could use the ones from the other room. I called just so they could make a note of it. I was very nice and told them I wasn't complaining but did want a note made about it. The next night none of the cups were replaced so we had to use our resort mugs to give them their meds. Does anyone know if this is typical? I know it's not a huge big deal or anything but I am just wondering. Thanks so much!!!

Sorry to hear about the service at Pop. When we were there, they did replace the cups and i found the mousekeeping to be fine. Did you get any towel animals?

No we didn't get any towel animals. I know that's not standard and some of the mousekeepers don't do that. Two of our daughters are special needs and sat to high in their wheelchairs to see the animals in the windows. Our almost 2 year old however was the perfect height and saw everyone's animals in their windows. Her anticipation was building the entire time. She loved it when she saw all the stuffed animals and souvenirs in the windows. When we got to our two rooms there was nothing. Next time I will learn to make towel animals so she won't be disappointed.

I am not one to complain very much. The little things like that are thankfully over shadowed by the wonderful and special memories we have. I hesitated to post the question here because I didn't want anyone to think we were complaining about something petty. I was just wondering if it was different at POP than the other resorts. Thanks so much for letting me know. We would love to go back there because we loved the resort. The only things we didn't like were the situation with the handicapped parking and mousekeeping. It bothered me even more that we called the first night and then on the other nights didn't have cups at all. That's what made me think that maybe they don't even replace them there. My husband said I made them mad by calling. I was really nice about it HONEST!!! Thanks again for your help!!!

Even if you did make someone mad about calling.......too bad. It wasn't an unreasonable request. Someone didn't do their job and it wasn't your fault. Maybe next time ask for a housekeeping supervisor. You NEEDED clean cups for medicine not because your kids wanted to play with clean ones in the tub, etc. Even if you didn't need them and your kids just wanted a fresh cup to drink from, they should have been replaced.
