Can somebody please tell me what this is? I tried to get information from a link from another post, but it didn't provide information on what it actually was....Since I will be there at this time, I am curious to find out more information.
Thanks - Jo

In reply to your question....I was at MOusefest last year and had an excellent time. It's a gathering of people from all over the world who are huge Disney Fans. It gives them all a chance to meet one another, trade collections, play games together, ride rides, share meals, chat ...there are dozens of activities each day...try mousefest.org it should help....if not get back to me I think I may have saved last years booklet:hippie:

Here is the main link for Mousefest 2007: http://www.mousefest.org/

I went to Mousefest 2006 and got hooked! It was the best time I've ever had at WDW. I already booked my flights and room for Mousefest 2007. I can't wait! :cool1:

another one who went to Mousefest 2006 and plan to go again in 2007. It was a great time. I had wonderful meals with lots of different DISers, met many great people and had a wonderful time. But be very careful once you go, you'll want to go again and again and again..

To those who have gone to Mousefest in the past, is it very expensive? Have you done both the Cruise and the trip to WDW? It sounds like lots of fun and I would love to go one year but it sounds it would cost a lot of money for flight, cruise, disney resort, park tickets, meals, etc.

If someone doesn't mind sharing how much it cost him or her and if you attended just the cruise portion or the land portion or both.

Thanks!

Hey KyleRayner,

Almost all of the Mousefest events last year were free to attend. I think there were a couple of events that cost money (like a Fireworks Cruise). Some meets are at restaurants and some were at nightclubs, which might require some extra cash. You can choose whatever meets or events you want to attend, depending on whether you think it might cost a little extra or not. The Mousefest website will have detailed descriptions of the events, so you should be able to ascertain whether it will cost anything to participate.

I just attended the land portion of Mousefest 2006 and I will again this year. The time during Mousefest is Value Season for resort rates, so that will save you money. If you have an annual pass, rates could be even lower, if they offer a discount during that time, which I believe they did last year.

Meals, tickets, etc., will be the same as any other time during the year. I don't know if they'll have any specials going on; just keep an eye on the boards or visit AllEarsNet.com.

Hope this helps. Post any additional questions you may have. You'll get lots of help from us DISers! :santa:

Thank you, that did help. One more question. I know you said you can attend any or all MouseFest events, it's your choice. In your experience, have you found that if you did attend all the events that are open to everyone, that it DID or DID NOT leave time for yourself to go off and do things on your own.

Sorry, I should have been more clear. Almost all events are open to anyone to attend. Sometimes you do need to reserve a spot, but that is rare. It is impossible to attend all the events because there are so many. To get an idea of what Mousefest 2006 was like, go to www.mousefest.org and look at the schedule for last year. Click on "MouseFest Land Schedule" and you will see all the events that happened. I think this will really help you understand what MouseFest is really all about.

i did the land portion only. I stayed at All Stars so my room was about $79 per night. I have an AP so I didn't have park costs. Used ME and WDW busines, so no transport costs. I met several DISers and had arranged DIS meals , so I ate at several nicer sit down restuarants, rest were counter service. Some people share rooms with friends so the room cost is less. This year I am staying at POP and will do dinner with other DISers for some of the nights. Using air miles for the air fare. So it will be a resonable cost.

There are often two or three MouseFest events in the same time slot, so as others have said, it's impossible to attend all of them. But to answer the intent of your question, if you spend most of your time attending organized MouseFest events, then indeed you won't have much time left to explore on your own, unless you extend your trip to arrive a few days early and/or stay a few days late.

I'll be there December 4-15, and I'm looking for people who would like to meet in small groups (around 4-6 people) for a meal, park touring, or other activities.
