Mousefest question

Has anybody gone to Mousefest? Is it easy for a single to blend in?

I have wanted to go for years and now is the time.

I have posted this question on the single board also.

Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks

I went as a single last year and found it extremely easy to blend in. I must say in all fairness that I have been going to WDW in December for several years prior to Mousefest and had gotten to know some of the people who attend the RADP gathering every year. But many people are there solo and there's always new folks attending every year.

Here's a tip for you if you go to the Mousefest meet: introduce yourself to Deb Wills. She'll be really easy to find. Tell her that you are there solo and don't know anyone. If past history is any indication, Deb won't let go of you until she's introduced you to at least a dozen new people.

Last year I went during Mousefest and had plans to meet up with some Disers. In 2002 I went to Dis con II and had a blast. I met a bunch of people from the boards we had some really fun meets, like the Thrill rides meet, MVMCP, adventureres club, etc--almost no time for sleep, lol.
Even if you travel there alone there are always so many people to meet up with.

I went to DIS con II and met 4greatboys....and I can second that as a single ...she had a great time...

PS she is a great gal too...

I'm booked for Mousefest and i'll be solo also. Are you doing both parts(cruise/WDW). I'm not worried as it looks like there will be many get together to meet people,so much so that i'm actually staying a few days extra just to really do some things solo. Are you doing MVMCP on the 9th. I think you'll be just fine and if you want to talk more my email address is mahelsley@comcast.net

You may want to go over to the Adult and Solo travellers board and check out who is going solo at that time. Sometimes it's nice to make plans to spend a few hours with another solo traveller (I had a blast with two DISers at MVMCP and touring resorts last December).

Also, watch the meet board. There will be tons of DIS meets planned for that time. I already have a Jellyrolls meet planned for Dec. 10th.
