We are staying in the cabins. This is a silly question - but how much do you tip the mouse cleaners each day?

We did $5 a day. Some do $1 per day per person staying in the room.
Make sure you label it, like in an envelope, and put it where it can be seen. And tip every day, because the mousekeepers can change from day to day.
They did a great job for us, including running the dishwasher. I was spoiled!

We stayed in the 2600 loop for 2 weeks in Dec. This was our first stay in a cabin (we always brought our camper with us before) and I have to be honest, I had to call the front desk or mousekeeping THREE times because we had the world's worst housekeeper! It almost became a joke when we arrived back at the cabin, wondering what surprises would be waiting for us. When we checked in, there were cobwebs in the rafters, 2 inches of mildew/dust/gunk along the bathtub and enough dust along with door jams that the hinges looked white!! We contacted the front desk, inquiring whether this had been a cabin that maybe hadn't been used in awhile. No, we figured out that someone had just left when we found MYMCP braclets behind one of the kitchen drawers (which we discovered because when DH pulled out the 3rd drawer, it fell off the track, which was in pieces!) After we spoke to the front desk, things just got bizarre! We would come in and find the vacuum or broom left out, somedays the beds were left unmade, the murphy bed would not always be put up, towels in the bathroom just left sitting on the counter (not put on the towel bars or under the sink where they are kept), all the wet towels from the bathroom just left laying in the hallway....why I continued to leave her a tip is beyond me. Once, when all I could see that was done was she turned on the dishwasher (it was still running), I thought maybe she was coming back because the mousekeeping envelope was still on the table. Closer look revealed that she had taken out the money but left the envelope behind!! Would you believe that once she even left the coffee in the BATHROOM! I COULD be wrong, but I think she was annoyed with us!!

BTW, each time we called, mousekeeping did offer to come back then and there to clean the cabin 'properly'. We always told them not to bother as we had just returned from the parks and just wanted to have dinner and to relax. They did send out the supervisor twice to see what we were talking about. IF this happens to you........CALL IMMEDIATELY and get ready for some surprises!
