Can someone clarify if the restuarant opens at 12 or 11, as if its 11 i need to change the time as we are booked for 12.

It opens at 12 (at least it did in Feb & May) and you need to be there about 10 mins before to get in the queue so you can go through the photo and get seated process as quickly as poss.
No the waiters will bring the cake, singing happy birthday (in French - at least I only ever heard them sing in French) very loudly and boisterously, and if Suzy or Perla is around, or if a princess is very near by, they will come. But there can be 6 or 7 an hour and the princesses don't go to them all.

Thanks Cathy for that, i think we will arrive early so i can get a seat by the dance floor.

Rung up on Friday and was told that in September Auberge opens at 12 so i didnt have to change my booking yay!

oh my word what a truly wonderful experience Auberge de Cendrillon looks, I want to go !!! Am I right in understanding that you don't need to pay for little ones under the age of 3 ?

Sadly under 3's only eat for free at buffet meals and this a table service meal so you will have to pay.

I don't think that is true. we never paid for ours under three unless we ordered seperately for them. If they eat off your plate it's free at all other table service restaurants in DL, WDW and DLP. Not sure about Auberge however, best to call the dining line and ask.

Hoping to do this on our trip. Can I just clarify where is the best place to be seated please? There are a few different options on this thread.

Any other tips would be gratefully received. There'll be 4 adults and our DD1 who is Princess (esp Cinderella) mad - she'll be 3.5 years and also our DD2 who will be almost 5 months and won't have a clue :rotfl:

Many thanks :)

I would say by the dancefloor so you can watch the princesses dance. Ive not been here before but thats where i want to sit :)

Anyone been here v recently please? Someone mentioned that the character interaction is a lot better manned/planned now - is this the case?

There are 4 adults and our DD1 and our baby DD in our party so it's a very expensive meal so I really would like to 'get it right' and make sure we get the best out of it.

Also, did I read that Cinderella may not be there? My DD1 loves her to bits and I think would be asking for her if she wasn't there (she'll be 3.5 yrs when we go)...

Do you think you can put a table pref in when you call to book or do you think you just have to ask on the day and hope. I read somewhere that bigger tables tend to be nearer the dancefloor (which I believe is the best place to sit) so we may have a chance of a better seat maybe with a larger party???

Any help would be greatly appreciated on this one as the cost is fairly steep

I think you meet Cinderella on the way in before you are seated. Going for the 1st time myself in Sept and im very excited :)

I hope you enjoy it - I'm sure you will :) When are you going?

I still haven't booked any of our meals yet - I think I need to get on with it don't I? I just can't get my head around times etc with having the baby as well. Someone suggested 2 pm for most meals so we may go with that - it's just what to book when....!?!

We are booked for this meal on the 22nd September at 12pm. Its the most expensive meal of the whole trip. So i hope DD who is 2 really enjoys it.

I'm sure she's just going to love it. I was talking to my hubby about this today but he was trying to tell me we need to wait until dd is older, she has just turned 2 but I need to go. Can't wait to hear how you get on :) My dd loved Mickey, Minnie etc back in June but was incredibly shy when meeting the princesses but I just think the whole experience looks wonderful. May just have to go ahead and book it !

Oops i meant the 23rd i booked this meal for lol. We arrive on the 22nd.
When Kyra first met Belle she was a bit unsure but now she is princess obsessed lol.

We wondered about this, but given that Buffalo Bill's is about the same price, we figured the kids would get more out of horses, buffalo, and the sort rather than a bunch of teenage and twenty something girls dressed up. We can do that at home.
