Well I just had to share DD's news. DD and DH went off to an archery tournament yesterday - didn't think they were ever coming home but finally arrived back at 8.00 pm!

Well DD came 2nd in the junior girls under 16 :cool1:

so I am thrilled at her progress and very proud of her. This is only the second tournament she has entered and one of the distances she had to shoot at she had only practiced once. She got a little medal and photo taken. She is now keen to enter some more tournaments over the summer. Her friend was in the junior girls under 13 and she came first in her group which was great. :thumbsup2

DD had originally moaned because her friend isn't 13 until August and got away with the under 13 group but DD is already 13 (14 in July) so had to go in the under 16's.

(DH was also entered into one of the adult sections but he didn't do very well and is keeping quiet on his score). Also although it didn't seem very sunny at home, they obviously found the sun. Poor DD's face was bright red when she got home and it hasn't gone down much this morning - sun burnt! Must make sure she is creamed in future even if it does look like rain.

I think this has put her in a very positive mood which is great as tomorrow she starts a week of SATS tests.

Well done to your daughter, shame about the sunburn try putting a little bit of ice on it as i've found it to work better then after sun sometimes.
