Mouse Ears on Ships

They had Captain Mickey ears...but I am not sure if I ever saw regular mouse ears...you would think I would remember after10 DCL cruises and tons of money spent in the shops!!!!

You can't buy the $7 ones that you get at WDW. They have a fancier plush style that were around $12. My kids were disappointed and I wish I had bought at DTD before we left.

Ok, I may be wrong, but I just got back from the 10-night cruise and I could swear that I saw regular type mouse ears in "Mickey's Mates", and they looked almost identical to the ones you buy at Disney World, EXCEPT that the circle in the front didn't say "Walt Disney World", I believe it said something like "Disney Cruise Line", but from a distance both hats would look the same. The ones I saw on the ship were felt, like the Disney World ones, not furry or plush like a stuffed animal.

Can anyone back me up???? Like I said, I am almost 100% sure that I saw them there! LOL I noticed them because we had baskets made for our sons, my husband, and our SIL & BIL, and we had Shirley include the mouse ears because I didnt think you could get them on the ship, so thats why I think they stuck out at me when I saw them. (then again, maybe I was hallucinating. lol)

MJ, I am afraid to do a final tally on all of the purchases we made onboard the ship. LOL All 4 of us bought watches in Treasure Ketch, and DH bought me a beautiful amethyst and diamond ring there too! In addition to all of the "souvenir" type things.....lol

We bought the Capt. Mickey ears (which are very cute), but didn't see the felt style ears. They could certainly have them onboard by now.... hopefully. Good luck.

My DD9 was counting on those mouse ears on board. When we returned last December from Disneyland, her ears were chewed on by our dog! Does anyone know if they stitch on the childs name?

that the only place to get the stitching done is on Main Street in MK, however I could be wrong..........(I've been known for that sometimes) :p

We are going on a cruise in November. We have a new baby in the family since our last WDW trip...so I will be ordering his mouse ears from Giftsofalifetime.com...you can get them personalized from there too.

Good Luck!:wave2:

Actually, you can, at Mickey's Mates (at least on the Magic). Unfortunately, they do not have that machine that puts on your name with the gold thread.

TheWog ~ What do the Captain's Ears look like. Are they more for a boy or girl?

Thanks DonnaDuck for the giftsofalifetime.com tip. The regular ears are $9.85 plus s&h. The also have the personalized ones for $15.?? plus s&h. They state shipping is up to 14 days unless you pay extra for air delivery.

Do they sell the regular ears at Disney stores? We have one 2 hours away, but I am not sure it would be worth the drive. Then again, think of all the disney things I could buy!

I don't think they sell the mickey ears at Disney stores...just at the parks or the gifts of a lifetime site.

In the good ole days, we did sell them at TDS but stopped in the mid 90s. However, I haven't been in recently to see what they have for Halloween. When I worked there, we sometimes carried them for Halloween. They were Mickey Mouse Club ones.
