Hi!
Since we will only be having an escape wedding, I decided (as long as BF doesn't veto...) that I would do mouse ears for favors. I love the pictures of the full group in their ears!!!
I looked at Laughing Place and they wanted $24/hat (making that $12/ear! ) They embroidered for free. However, knowing that I would be accountable for getting them to the wedding/cake site blah blah blah...I was wondering if this is something DFTW could set up and have at our cake site or if I could set it up through Disney myself.
Any insight greatly appreciated.
Someday I'll get to post my actual planning journal...

there have been several girls who have gotten these as favors through disney floral. also, another option would be to buy them when you get there (you might get a discount at dtd with your ap, but i'm not 100% sure on that) and then give them to your planner to set up. that would be a lot cheaper than $24 apiece...

They are about $8 at Disneyland, with free embroidery... I *think* they are a little more at WDW, plus they charge for embroidery. As I recall, the WDW Florist (who you work with through DFTW) charges $10 + $8 for embroidery.

One thing you can do is call Disneyland's or WDW's merchandise delivery hotlines. You can buy anything at the parks for face value plus shipping. Laughing Place and other shopping services mark up the prices to cover labor.

I don't know if Disneyland DelivEARS and WDW Merchandise Gift Service can get them embroidered, though, but maybe you could have it done by a local embroidery shop.

The DFTW Florist looks like the best option! I'm guessing if you have DFTW Florist take care of everything then they are accountable to have them at your cake site....

The basic Mickey ears at WDW are $9.95 each. I'm having Disney floral embroider them for me for $8 each and they are going to set them up at the reception site for me as well.

Be aware that they will charge tax on both the ears and the embroidery. Making it $10.60 per hat plus $8.52 for embroidery or $19.12 for each embroidered set of ears.
