Mouse Ear Embroidery?

Hello!

I was wondering if anyone knew if you purchased a set of Mouse Ears outside of the park (like from the online store) if you could still get them embroidered in the park? They have some on sale in the online store right now, and I thought it might be a way to save money.

You can't get them embroidered in the park unless you purchase them in the park and get them embroidered the same day. We have a local embroiderer in our neighborhood and they have embroidered all of my son's hats with a Disney font. I've never had a problem with probably 15 hats both ears, and baseball type.

I bought a Diamond Anniversary ear hat for my daughter on Ebay (authentic parks merchandise though) and was able to get it embroidered in the park last October. I bought it ahead of time because I didn't want to take a chance on them being out when we were there.

They charge for the embroidery, but had no issue doing the hat I brought inside my backpack that day with no proof of date or place of purchase. They didn't even ask.

Last time I checked, they would for an additional cost. It might negate the savings from the online sale.

I have bought graduation ears for my daughters ahead of time (because by the time they were going on their respective trips, the ears would have been sold out - Second daughter just left 3 hours ago for her trip.) and was told to have them bring the receipt, and Disney would stitch them. I purchased the ears from Disneyland merchandise, so your situation might be different.

Do they charge to embroider the ears when you buy them in the parks?

Its $3 for he basic, or $7 per line for the fancy (more color and font choices).

Is the same true for Disney World? I bought our ears on sale at the Disney Store online.

I've had stuff embroidered and they wanted to see the receipt for the item I bought. I have been turned down for items I wanted embroidered outside of DL. I think the Disney store online embroiders as well.
