Has anyone ever rented a sea racer from the Poly? I'm wanting details like do I need to wear a bathing suit or can I wear just normal clothes......not sure how much splash there is. Also do you make reservations at the boat dock or do you just walk up and say "hey i want to rent a sea racer"??

Any help would be greatly appreciated :teeth:

Just walk up and be like hey... ill take one of those. I have been a few times during busy and not so busy never had to wait. You can wear whatever you want... i never really got that wet at all a little damp yes but not soaked.
You can rent them for half hour or a full hour. I forget the prices though sorry. I think the minimum age to ride alone is 16 but dont quote me on that one:)

Have fun

Thank you so much for the info :cheer2: I will probably just wear my regular clothes :goodvibes

Just wanted to add that yes you have to be 16 and have a valid driver's license to drive one alone. This started a few years ago as a result of accidents. My son was happy as he was able to drive one this year, they would not let him last year. They are very strict about this and parents should know ahead of time so kids will not be dissapointed.

ENJOY!!

Well most people tend to just get damp - a slight spray when bouncing over another boat's wake. My DH2B is not normal - no matter how conservatively he drives (avoiding wake) or how crazy he drives (searching out wake to jump) he always gets a wave of water in his boat. Oh and his boat will always stall too. I like to point and laugh.

I dont have a drivers lic. (24 years old) living in the city I never really have too . . . .

so I cannot rent one?

You can rent one, but bring some type of ID that shows your bday or at least something....I think somone can tell 24 from 16. But today, it maybe hard to tell...

12 year olds can drive (provided they are also 5 feet tall) at Downtown Disney, and the moderate resorts, such as Port Orleans, Coronado Springs, Carribbean Beach.

Usually you don't get that wet, but it depends on how you drive. You should be fine in regular clothes. Have fun!
