STL is in mourning too- althought the Rams actually winning gasp! 2 games helps- now if they can't sign Pujols during the offseason, and he becomes a free agent and the east coast teams come calling- I think STL might dissolve into the Mississippi!

There would be mutiny in a heartbeat if that were to happen! I could see effigies being hung from the Arch and all. De Witt had better pony up the cash or there will be hell to pay from the StL faithful, that's for sure.

Gotta add some REDS love to this thread.

Much as it galls me to do so, I'll be pulling at least a little for the Reds this postseason. I'd love to see Rolen and Jimmy Ballgame (Edmonds) win another ring. I miss them both.

Even though the Mets played abysmal once again, I am still sad baseball is over. At least I have football. And yes! Good ridden to both Minaya & Manuel.

I am looking forward to watching the playoffs though. Any team but the Phillies and Yankees making it to the WS is fine with me! I'll be pulling for the Rays & Giants though.

Ah, another Mets fan! I hate the Phillies and the Y******, so I hope they don't make it out of the playoffs.

It may help to be rid of Minaya and Manuel, but it would be far better if the Wilpons would sell the team (Maybe to Mark Cuban?)--I've heard they're actually Dodgers fans.

You mean "but the Mets"? This is complicated. I grew up in Connecticut, so all I ever heard was "Yankees-Red Sox, Yankees-Red Sox, Yankees-Red Sox"....you get the idea. I was bored stiff by the Yankees by the time I moved to NYC (Like a song you've heard on the radio too many times.). I had never heard of the Mets before I got here. Eventually, I became a Met fan (I had never been into baseball growing up.). I find most Yankee fans arrogant and spoiled, with a sense of entitlement regarding their team. I believe many of them would rather skip right to the playoffs every year rather than bother playing the whole season. I would never root for them: it's like rooting for Slytherin. Now, if everyone's flame throwers are ready....

Yeah, I am a bit. It was a tough year for the Tigers but there's always next season. And in the meantime I have the Red Wings to keep me amused. As far as I'm concerned, there are only two seasons, baseball and hockey.
