Anyone else out there mourning the end of baseball season? My Red Sox have gone home, the winds are cooler here in Boston and it is time to close the windows, put on long pants and cover my feet. NOOOOOOOOOOO!!!! :sad1:

There is nothing that compares to October baseball. For those in the playoffs...enjoy!

Definitely mourning the end of baseball season here too. Only got to a few Tigers games this summer but got to see my Jays play one game, met my new boyfriend at the game I went to after that, and then went on a couple dates to games with him after that so there are definitely some fun memories associated with the games I did get to this summer. :)

Why would you mourn a season where the way to score is to run home?? (RIP George Carlin :lmao:)

Sorry, have to disagree with you. While I don't like seeing the end of the Sox season, I LOVE hockey, which starts Saturday, and I love the Pats. Love the cool weather, and love how I have to wear my fleece vest.

This is my favorite time of year.

The Sox have a lot of work to do this offseason....I know Theo can put together a good team so I look forward to next year.

Well, My A's ended the season at 500, so that's satisfying.

BUT

The big story here in the Bay Area is the return of the SF Giants to the play-offs! They have a beautiful ballpark and NO prima-donnas! And they made us wait through the entire weekend to see the positive results. (whew!)

NOPE! Not mourning anything!

Go Phillies!!!!!!!

:lmao:

That is part of the problem. I cannot tolerate hockey and football, I am a baseball girl through and through. DH is watching the Pats game right now, the third of many through a looooong season. UGH! :headache:

I feel you. The only good thing about it is the Mets finally axed their GM and manager today, so, at least they are looking to make some changes.

And, it's time for hockey. Let's go Islanders!

The Pirates fired their manager yesterday after over 100 losses. The only good thing about their season was the performance of several young players. We're not mourning the end of baseball season here; besides, I love the cooler fall temperatures!

I used to like football, but the constant hype about the Steelers is so over the top it is annoying. Hockey is OK, at least the players and fans are more tolerable.

I'm with Pug. Not mourning. Boys of Summer are still here for me...

GO YANKEES!!!!

Am I upset that we're Wildcard and don't have home field advantage? Yes, but the Yanks go hard so I'm not that worried.

And since you're a Red Sox fan, it's in my blood, I just can't feel bad for you.

But I will say, Boston is gorgeous and has some really great food spots.

No mourning here! My "Phightin Phils" are taking it all the way!! Gooooo Phillies!!!

Nothing to mourn here either!!
GO YANKEES!!:cheer2:

Oh and had to add I was kind of disappointed the Red Sox did so poorly I love a good rivalry and it just wasn't as dramatic this year. Because the Red Sox stunk.

I despise baseball, so boring and it seems like it's on every. single. day. The end of baseball (in Boston, anyway haha!! ) means hockey is here! :Pinkbounc

I've been mourning baseball all year. (Oriole's fan) However with Showalter at the helm I do believe we will have a better year next year. Under him we are .569 and second in the AL for that time period. If we could have been like that all year...sigh

STL is in mourning too- althought the Rams actually winning gasp! 2 games helps- now if they can't sign Pujols during the offseason, and he becomes a free agent and the east coast teams come calling- I think STL might dissolve into the Mississippi!
