Mountainsmith waist pack??

Just curious if anyone has used one of these bags at WDW?? I ordered one for my husband and would like some feedback. Thanks

I guess you must mean the Vibe II. We have not used their waist pack but we have used the Mountainsmith Tour and Day packs for Search and Rescue and have found them to be very comfortable and sturdy. My DW usually carries a small waist pack when we are at WDW, mainly for meds, etc.; I usually load up the pockets of my cargo pants.

My Mountainsmith 'Day' Fanny is one of my favorite bags and is my bag of choice for WDW.

Usually it is just my DD (age 8) and I heading to WDW and that bag is large enough for typical day stuff- snacks, water, light jacket, camera. I love the versitility to carry it as a shoulder bag or around my waist. When it is around my waist, it really snugs into the small of my back (lumbar region) and doesn't budge and it is easy just to loosen the waist strap slightly and swing it around to the front when I go on rides.

Which one did you order?

I've had mine for years and it has held up well.

I ordered the Tour waistpack for him. What is the name of your?? I am looking for one like his only smaller. No luck yet!

The two packs mentioned above, the Tour and Day packs, are both fairly large. The Tour Pack is around 650 cu/in and the Day Pack is around 1150 cu/in. These are the two my DW and I used for Search and Rescue. I would say the Day definitely requires the shoulder straps; the Tour would also, depending on how much you load in it. With the Day pack, I could carry around 25-30 pounds with no problem. They do make very small "fanny packs", such as the Buzz which I believe is listed under the Lumbar Performance section.
