Mount Rushmore of DVC

I would say:
OKW since it paved the way for all future DVC properties.

BWV since it’s the largest Epcot/HS DVC resort

VGF since it’s the flagship MK DVC resort

AKL since it’s one of a kind with the animals and it’s proximity to AK

If you include the vibe from the original resorts that many of the DVCs are attached, then

Bay Lake/CR

Poly

& two of our ‘homes’

AKJ (factoring in the animals as a wildcard)

WL (original MK DVC resort)

Old Key West - First has to be on here
Beach Club Villas - I think this really started the DVC sales snowball
Villas at Grand Floridian - Fastest sellout (though I think the Disneyland DVC may beat it when it goes on sale)
Aulani - the most amazing DVC property.

Old Key West - the George Washington of DVC resorts
Beach Club Villas - I can see this one as the favorite overall Epcot resort for me, yes.
Villas at Grand Floridian - Fastest sellout - This is probably my favorite resort from when I was younger - I was very excited to stay at VGF right after it opened.
Aulani - gonna be the all-time record holder for slooooooooowessstt sellout... :)

(despite Aulani's record setting, I would probably go with AKL instead for the animals and uniqueness of the resort.)

I would suggest that level of sales and awesomeness of resort, in this case, are independent variables.

There are definitely economic reasons why Aulani is selling slower than park-based DVC, mainly, the long flight that it takes most people to get there. However that doesn't diminish the amazing job they did with the resort. If it were in the middle of WDW it would hands-down be the top resort. Better water features than BCV, nicer rooms than the Poly, tons of activities, an artificial reef, shaved ice, etc. Also, since Aunty's Beach House is included (assuming it one day opens back up after the pandemic), it makes Aulani very attractive to parents of toddlers through tweens. Also, it is a bit of an anomaly as it's not really a Disney Resort with a touch of Hawaii, but rather a Hawaiian Resort with a touch of Disney.

We've stayed at all of the DVC resorts and Aulani is by far our favorite...
