I was told at the Hard Rock Cafe that you can use one or the other but not both together. I don't know if this will be true at any other restaurants.

Jack2000 - You cannot use any other discount with the 1/2 price dining certs. I tried to use my AAA at Hard Rock and it was denied.

AS far as getting change back....it is "use it or lose it". My wife and one of my son's used the $50 at Margaritaville and the bill was just under $50 ($48 + change) I gave the waitress the cert and she returned a $0 receipt back. I left a $10 for tip and we were on our way.

BTW - It does cover the whole bill - Drinks and all. Sometimes dinner specials do not cover cocktails, but this does.

Someone was worried about spending the entier amount with only husband and wife eating. Get the steak, have a couple of glasses of wine, a little cheesecake and the $50 goes quick!

Thanks for the responses. Too much to ask for, huh? I'm already saving a bundle and was still hoping I could get the annual passholder discount.

I do have another question. Have any of you been able to have two checks written up for the table so you could use more than one gift certificate? I'm sure we'll spend every dime of the two $50 certificates because we will have 8 people in our party ( 2 adults and 6 kids). I'd hate to have to sit at different tables just so we could use both certificates. We're driving down Memorial Day Weekend with our son and 5 of his friends and staying at the Hard Rock.

i really don't see why there would be a problem asking for 2 cheques for meal- we do this all the time when we go out to eat with work & we definetly don't sit at different tables
i plan on telling server that one coupon belongs to hubby and i and the other to the teens- really no biggie
just make sure you let them know before you order- they may not even care and put 2 coupons on one cheque

We ate there on Monday night, the last night of our vacation, and I have to say I wasn't overly impressed with this restaurant. I guess it was the least favorite meal that we had while away, BUT, for $10.00, if you're looking for a cheap meal, it would be worth it, lol.......

Can you elaborate? Was the food bad? The service? The atmosphere? All of the above? I bought 2 of the $10 GCs, just because I couldn't pass up such a good deal. I am trying to get something else (dying for Margaritaville, but that looks to be impossible) for our second dinner. It is just my hubby and I; I guess if we're not crazy about the place we'll just use the second GC to bless some other family already there.
