Motorized scooters

Yes they do.... the cost is $45 a day + a refundable deposit of $25...... I have seen on these boards some rent them off site for cheaper and they are able to take them back and forth to their hotels...one I remember being mentioned is Deckert's I have never used them so I don't have anymore info for you but I'm sure others will chime in soon!!!!

Deckert's is definitely cheaper than renting at DLR if you are staying more than one day. I racked up in one month for me and a friend one day and on other trips about $300 for scooter rentals. I bought a used one for only $125 and she is a turbo charged super fast scooter that is well worn but is saving me $2 per trip to the parks and the cost of scooters.

If you do rent at DLR you cannot take the scooter past the security areas but can park hop with the scooter as well as park strollers and wheelchairs.

That is my post of disabled entry points for guests using GAC and mobility devices. At DLR you do not need the GAC unless you have a hidden disability thus guests who use an ECV/scooter do not need a GAC unless they walk onto the ride or show.

Read that as it is from 2006 but gives you an idea of how each company is and note that while you may pay a security deposit you do not have to pay a delivery fee for Deckert's. They do not have a website that I know of.

Thanks much. I just got off the phone with them and reserved my scooter :)

I have used OC Medical several times and am very happy with them. Last time I had an issue with the scooter and they were there with a replacement within 15 minutes.

Last time I needed a scooter they didn't let me park hop. I sprained my ankle two weeks ago and am in an ankle boot. It isn't getting better and I am afraid I might need one : (
My ankle looks really gross like a spare tire around it, I wish they would just do an MRI to make sure I didn't tear anything too badly.

I love the new park hopping for Disneyland rentals. It is not allowed after DCA closed however. There are a lot of abandoned strollers by the security gates and CMs make runs out there to round them up. That is one thing DLR has that WDW does not have.
