I know since they have redone the campsites that I have seen tents put up in premium sites off the pad in the grass beside the pad. In years past this was not allowed and I was wondering if they are still letting people do that?
Thanks

I don't know if they're "letting" people do it, but we were there Nov1-20 and saw it several times. We saw one tent set up on the 300 just to the edge of the dog walk along the canal, which I'm pretty sure was not actually ON their site (and ran the risk of being peed on :lmao:)

Then again we also saw *dozens* of cases of 2 vehicles parked on a site - in some cases 3 big trucks!! We got a note on our GC one day saying "please park your GC on the pad" (we couldn't actually reach the pole to plug it in without being at least a little bit off) and yet we saw vehicles parked all over the place.

In the case of the 3 vehicles (also on the 300) they were parked on the grass, on the pine needles and partly in the road! This took place for the better part of a week, so I assume they didn't get the same little slip of paper we did - or didn't care.

I'd say use your best judgement in the sense that you don't want to be infringing on your neighbor's site, but other than that it seems Disney doesn't really care what you put where. :sad2:

Us too - saw tents just about everywhere on and off the pad, depending on what your site was like if you had a MH too sometimes there simply wasn't room on the pad. I also didn't see alot of "grass" abutting pads, and I also saw tents in areas that might be considered wetland were it not for the drought.

Our friends were on 500 - on the inside of the loop about 2/3 of the way around. There's a huge, fairly open area on the inside of all the sites that's pretty much covered in pine needles. Someone had a pretty huge tent setup just about smack dab in the middle of all the sites.

Gotta say I'm really perplexed at the size of the setups that Disney is allowing in some of the sites in the 300 loop. We saw more than a few enormous fivers with setups that included tents, pens, a ton of bikes AND a couple of trucks. (clearly the "one vehicle per site" rule was tossed out the window Nov 1-20)

These were put on the *inside* sites, which are typically much shorter than a lot of the outer sites, and don't always have a lot of room behind them either. Needless to say these folks didn't come close to fitting in their sites, and there were several times we had to be careful driving back to our site because there were trucks hanging out in the road. :confused3
